How does mailing to the Congress man work?

Today is my day 92 and nothing changed in the EAD process, case was recieved.

Did you get an RFE? Our papers were received February 8. We made a service inquiry after day 92. I called to check on it 5 days later and the reply was that since the papers for the RFE were received may 15, that we had to wait 90 past may 15.

Our RFE was that we needed to send a copy of our marriage certificate. The really frustrating thing was, we sent the marriage certificate in our first package. So we will have to wait an extra 5 weeks because someone doesn't know how to do their job…

Hey everyone,

I got my EAD in the mail on may 12th at 3pm. Drove to the Social Security office right away to apply for my SSN, because I hadn't gone yet and my i-94 was expired. Then I got home and bought bus tickets to head back to Montreal the next day. I just wanted to visit home as soon as possible so that I could come back to the states and focus on applying for jobs.

Getting back in the states was very easy. I got pulled aside but I wasn't questioned about my intentions or my life in America. I got my picture taken and fingerprints, that's all. The agent verified my address and stapled a little paper in my passport for the next time I decide to go back to Canada. He said I can visit as much as I want with my EAD/AP, but that I will have to do the extra screening every time.

Figured I'd let you guys know about my experience because I was a little stressed out when I got to the border.

EAD is in production! Yay!

Timing: 54 days from biometrics, 89 from NOA1.

Maybe my SR on day 77ish did help. The outcome of the SR was "we are currently reviewing your case", which wasn't insightful but was probably true.

Still not sure if the SR led to my EAD being expedited or if it was organic, but I'm happy anyway.
