Hi Everyone!

Our interview is coming up, this Monday, May 15. We are a little nervous as I don't know if our evidence is enough. Please let me know if these are enough.

* Joint Lease agreement and rental fee receipts (FEB - MAY 2017) - we signed a new lease in January 2017.

*Life Insurance/Retirement/Health Insurance Policies stating that my spouse is the benefiary

*Joint Checking account

*Gym Memberships

*Cellphone service document (both in our names)

*Credit card document stating she's in my additional authorized user

*Pictures of us together, when she first got to the US, then the wedding pics.

*Sworn Affidavit from 2 people who knew us and witness to our wedding.

Am I Missing something?

I have already submitted these with our initial application (Minus the  Sworn Affidavit ) Do I need to bring this to the interview?

Hi everyone. We have no update on AOS yet, but are wondering what documentation we need for the interview? We can't afford to buy a car right now, and we live with my mom to save money so we have no lease agreement. I am

not sure about a joint checking account, maybe we can just authorize each other to use each other's accounts? My husband doesn't really have much money since he only just got his EAD last week. Can we use our lisences with the same address are proof? I can authorize him on my credit cards if that helps. We're just still trying to get our stuff together since we can't be finanically independent until he can start working and we can save money to move out. Any help would be appreciated thanks :) But we are a real couple and are happily married.

Your scene is similar to mine then. My wife got me added as an 'Authorized User' on her credit card so I got a credit card in my name with the same account number. We also opened a joint checking account which you may also do and put however much money you guys want in that account. You may wanna take your wedding pictures and pictures in general that show a long time span of your togetherness (especially with other family members like your parents and his parents). People also write on forums that when they show pictures to the IO he/she would be more interested in those which have other family members or those with different backgrounds, parks, places etc and they would keep a copy of those few pics. Take your joint account checkbook thats shows both of your names and same address to the interview. You may also present both of your drivers licenses as one of the proofs of your marriage and tell them that you live together. If you changed your name after marriage, that may also be presented as a proof of bonafide relation.

We have no wedding pictures, because we couldn't afford one, so we went to city hall and got the certificate. We have tons of pictures, but I don't want to change my name until we have the real ceremony later on.

Well smartphone pictures would also be fine. I dont have a professional type wedding album too at this time but I just got few photos printed from walgreens app in my phone and I'm gonna take them with me. You may also present your wedding rings (even wear them when you go) and tell them that you both exchanged these rings on wedding day. You may also take receipts (if you kept them safe) of the gifts that you bought for each other. If you are on the same phone plan then use that as a proof of married life. Take your joint tax filing documents to the interview too.

No sorry, we did not take pictures at the wedding. We do not have wedding rings. There was no ceremony, no family attended. We went to city hall and got married and we will do the real ceremony when we have the money to do so. We don't even have money for a car right now because of student loan payments. I have had to pay for almost everything while we waited for the EAD. So you can see why we are panicking. All we have now is licenses with the same address, and he is an authorized user on my credit card. We are going to make a joint checking account together, but aren't sure if this is enough, since we don't have a lease or any insurance together.

What about photos with you, your spouse and family members at different events/trips/etc? Bring some of those if you have them. A checking account will help.

How have you been paying your credit card on which you authorized your husband ? If you work and have a checking account in which your salary gets deposited, and with which you pay your credit card, then add your husband as a joint account owner in that account instead of opening a new one with no activity. Even if you plan your finances differently, do this for now and then you may change your checking/saving/joint/separate plans a few weeks later.

Well I JUST made him an authorized user today. But yes my salary gets deposited in  my checking and I pay my credit card from my checking account. Thanks!

Just an update on my case. I received both NOA2's for the EAD and AP today even though I didn't request the AP to be expedited as well. But I guess it's nice knowing that I'm getting the combo card soon, hopefully sometime this week.

AP is still showing as case received online and the EAD is still showing in production.
