Congrats to all those getting their EAD cards! I am still waiting on mine (Feb 17th NOA1) so day 75 is coming up on Tuesday. I have a job offer to start in June in order to give me time to get my EAD naturally without the need to expedite.

To those who put a SR in on day 75, was it beneficial to do so? Although June is still a way away, I am a worrier, so having the EAD safe and sound will be of great relief to me!

I only sent the marriage certificate.

At that time we neither had no joint bank account nor were our names on bills or the leasing contract. And I think you are not required to send those documents when you file AOS. We got married a couple of weeks after I came to the US.

The only thing I could do was to get a SSN.

It isn't necessary to send those documents, no. But I opted to send them anyway. I have spoken with a few personal friends you immigrated and heard it may be beneficial and may increase the chances you get approved without an interview. Plus it just helps show we are serious without them meeting us. I am from Canada and lived only 10 hours away from my husband, so it was easy for me to travel back and forth often, so when my husband did things like get an apartment and set up the cable we decided to put it in both our names initially. All I had to do was change my last name on them after we married.

Shayden is correct, sending those documents aren't a requirement. However, I did send a statement showing joint bank accounts, joint credit cards and my leasing contract showing the both of us and of course marriage certificate. I send a copy of marriage certificate with each application, AOS/AP/EAD. Until this day, I have not received an RFE and highly doubt I will receive one since we send enough evidence of relationship.

That's good to know but we didn't have none of those documents available when I sent my AOS/EAD/AP application to USCIS (except for our marriage certificate). That doesn't mean that I will get a status update saying that an interview appointment will be scheduled. Many of the people who filed AOS based on a K1-visa got an interview waiver( I read that USCIS takes a look at the evidence you presented when you applied for the K1-visa). We now have some evidence and will have more after the big wedding and when I have a job to present USCIS if I should receive a interview letter from them.

I really thought I skipped a part of the requirements for filling AOS because you said that you already sent some evidence along with your AOS application. :D I was like "Oh, please no..." :D:D

Got my combo card in the mail. Quite shocking really, got a notice on Friday and was please to see it arrive in the mail today.

Pleased to get it so soon despite my RFIE. I thought it was inevitable that I would have to wait until late May to receive it, Now off to the job search, hoping to land something in my field.

Good luck to those waiting, I can't imagine you will have to wait much longer. may your suffering and agitation from this process soon dissipate.

Congratulations man ! I've high hopes of hearing something from USCIS any time now as I have the same filing date as yours. Just looking at my phone million times a day to see if there's any text message or email from USCIS 😂

Has anyone received their interview/green card approval before the EAD? We received an RFE for his AOS and even with that, it looks like we'll be getting the green card and EAD around the same time, which kinda makes me chuckle to myself that at this point we probably could've just filed the AOS

How do you know you're getting the green card before the EAD ? How does it look that way ? Getting scheduled for interview doesnt mean one will get the green card approved right then and there. They wont process applications but in the order they receive them. Currently, for example, Chicago Field Office started processing applications from June 27,2016 and onwards from February 28, 2017, and this means they are taking approximately 8 months in processing I-485 applications. However, what NBC does is prepare the applications for interview at local offices, and sometimes local offices conduct interview and collect the evidences but they wont actually have the applicant's file in hand. Thats why they take time in reviewing applications even after the interview. Also, since one would file EAD on the basis of pending adjustment application, there's absolutely no fee and absolutely no harm in applying for one. Theres nothing to lose, however, if you dont apply and your green card gets delayed you're gonna be in trouble for not being authorized to work. I have my adjustment interview scheduled too (on May 18) but I pray that my EAD be approved first anyhow.

New month....so ready to get my EAD/AP card in the mail this month. :D:D

It's been 3 weeks since my Biometrics and my status hasn't changed ever since I could  log into the USCIS website to check my status. I will submit a Service Request on the 12th if there shouldn't be an update soon.

Don't you think that's a little early?! Service requests usually shouldn't be made before 75 days are over. I know ppl start counting the 75 days from the day they sent the file off, but actually you need to count the 75 days since NOA1 as that is when they first acknowledged your case.

Also, it is very normal that there is no status change until it says New card being produced. No reasons to worry. In fact, be happy that it doesn't say you got an RFE

With NOa1 I actually meant the day it says online when they received your case. It's a little earlier than your NOA1 date. Sorry, I meant the receive date. Count the 75 days from that point.

The day is around May 23rd.

I am just getting nervous. I cannot find a job where I could expedite and submit a request.

You're still really early, no reason to get nervous. I'd also be careful expediting your EAD if you don't have a co-sponsor. USCIS in most cases doesn't approve an EAD expedite solely based on the fact that you have a job offer. You need to give them a reason why which is usually financial hardship. Now if your husband is your only sponsor and thus signed a paper verifying that he has sufficient income and can provide the living costs for you it contradicts the point you make with expediting the EAD based on financial hardship. I'd be very careful with that.

why can't you find a job that can be used to expedite? They can not discriminate and choose certain jobs to be "appropriate" for an expedite and say others aren't.
