Hey guys,

 

after filing online  for an inquiry yesteterday (today is day 74 )(I know it was a little too early for that), finally my AP and EAD are now approved and a new card is in production. Mysterious how USCIS works...

 

To all of you:

I can say just to try all the options you have with expedite and inquiry and don't give your hopes up. Hopefully you all get approved soon. Sometimes it's just luck or your inquiry that gives them the last touch to approve it idk.

Oh congratulations ! It normally takes less than two weeks before you receive the card.

I also received my husbands letter yesterday. Dated 04/21/2017 2 letters explaining that we was approved, one for AP and other for EAD.  The case changed saying that the new cards were mailed on 04/26/217 this morning.

Don't worry, we will all get our updates sooner or later. It really is a waiting game. I'm just glad we have no RFE for this and AOS update got sooner than expected. Crossing my fingers for you on AOS and mine for my EAD. :D

July 2019 - filed I-751

August 2020 - filed N400

Sept. 2020 - i-751 status "Case Was Transferred to a New Office". Transferred to NBC.

April 12, 2021 - N400 interview in LA passed (with a pending i-751)

May 20, 2021 - I-751 status changed to Approved and N400 status changed to Oath Will Be Scheduled. 🤩

May 21, 2021 - received a call and email from USCIS Los Angeles with my NOA with my oath schedule.

May 28, 2021 - oath taking schedule in USCIS DTLA office. 😍

I received the letters yesterday in the mail.  and this morning at 7 am my case status still said "Cards are Being produced"  it changed to "mailed on 04/26/2017" at around 930ish am this morning.

Mine was approved on April 25th with no expedite.  By the looks of the board and all the approvals it looks like they are starting to catch up to our applications.  Of course it is all just chance and depends where you are in the queue and who is working on your case.

I'm gonna go ahead and make a controversial point about inquiries/service requests: I think it's not necessarily that filing them led to the approval of the EAD/AP docs, but that once you hit the point where you can file for a request, you're probably a few days from when they were gonna issue your EAD anyway.

 

Remember, boys & girls: correlation doesn't imply causation :)
