the check attached with a paper clip on top of the whole package, better on top so they don't misplace it, open and get the check at the same moment.

If it's a personal check, it's more easy to monitor yet if you get NOA1, it means your check is OK and your application is accepted. Don't worry, just wait. USPS inside of US is working very well, it will be everything OK

Hello everyone!!

I guess this is going to be the beginning. We filed AOSEAD, AP and sent it February 17, 2017.

I have a question, when we put our packet together I attached a check to both the I-485 and the I-130. But I read that I only need to attached just one check for the I-485, which way is the correct way since I am coming from an F-1 visa?

Good luck with the process

F1 visa here too!

you need a check for $1225 on top of I485 form and a check for $535 for the I130 form. The people that only sent one check are most likely K1 visa b/c they dont need I130. Good luck

ours took less than a week so i think it varies case by case. Did your check got cashed? Take a look at your bank account. Once it's cashed they usually send the NOA1 right after. :)

We still have not had a text or email notification. Our package arrived on the 10th. They say not to compare the time on our case with others, but people who sent theirs in only 2 days before have already gotten their notification. There isn't even a way to find out if something is wrong, and we can't check the status of the money order because it costs money and takes 30 days. We are very frustrated.

Yeah but we sent ours in 3 days before you. It makes no sense that you would have it before we do, no offense. So it's very worrying and upsetting.

Hello everyone,

So we got our NOA 1 hardcopies for AOS, AED And AP last Friday the 17th of Feb. There was a slight problem on the AED notice because my birth date is wrong. Instead of Marh 14 it was September 14. Noting that it was after 6pm when we checked our mailbox and USCIS was only open Mon-Fri 8am-6pm EST so we didnt make any changes not til this morning. Glad the rep was easy to talk to and she made the necessary changes. Thank God. Right now we are waiting for our Biometric appointment letter and based on the normal timeline we should have ours first week on March. We will see. Hope everyone doing fine with their process.
