But you need proofs of why you are expediting your request, which in most common cases is "severe financial loss"

Well, I still have my parents, my grandpa and of course my husband who financially support me. But I don't want that to last until the end of the year.

But now I know that the RFE won't affect my EAD, I will be a little more relaxed about it.

Yes, your application for EAD wont be affected for an RFE on the I 485 application.

I also only submitted 2013-2015 only. I honestly expected an RFE since I sent federal tax returns and not tax transcripts. But to my surprise, my case status says case ready to be scheduled for interview.

Lucky you.

Maybe you have to show them the documents during your interview, who knows?

As long as I know that the missing documents doesn't affect my EAD, it's alright. I can show them the documents when they schedule my case for an interview.

I haven't had any updates either. I think you'll get your EAD in May or June...based on the December and January boards, it seems that it's taking over 100 days for most people on average and not the 90 anymore. So we just have to be patient!

You could try to expedite his EAD if he has a job lined up, reason being that it would be "great financial loss" to you both if he didn't get the job. However, I wouldn't try to expedite it for things like having financial difficulties, etc because they could just say "well, you and co-sponsor (if you have one) should be able to take care of him." Good luck! It will be here before you know it.

We have the same timeline. My case says the same as yours, just be patient. All the people who are in here need to work as well. From what I am seeing in the others cases they did the biometrics a week or two ago and that is when they started to receive updates on their cases.

Once again patience is the key of success. Good luck in the process.

I did my biometrics on the 24th. I haven't seen any updates. Actually the AP is what I really want, since I haven't gone back home for a year and half...

We don't need the interview for the EAD right? The interview is just for the green card? I'm just hoping the EAD will come in the mail and surprise us since there have been no status updates. Wondering if he needs an AP for Christmas since it's not looking like he'll have his green card before then.

I think we need to be realistic about the EAD, we all want them quickly but based on those who submitted in previous months, we are probably not going to receive them until May-June.

Considering I got an RFIE, I am probably expecting mine around June. Not pleased about it, as I feel guilty that my wife has to work while I am at home, but hey at least I can do the mundane chores as a comproise to myself.

Only saving grace for us filers would be to land a job and try to get it expedited. I'm not sure how easy that would be though, it is dependent on many variables (personal network, job field, applicants, unemployment rate...and of course employer patience/flexibility).

I'm heading to an InfoPass next week with a job offer letter - let's see if I have any luck expediting the EAD...
