Got notification yesterday about a case update for my AOS. Unfortunately, it's the RFIE. I'm assuming it's for our 2016 tax information; thought it might squeak by since biometrics was the 22nd but here we are, lol. I just hope that's all they're after! It's the only thing I know is missing from my packet.

Just checked my case status, it was updated on the 29th and our case is ready for the interview! I'm so surprised haha. Our NOA1 was February 9 and my biometrics were taken on March 23rd. We only sent in the 2015 tax return and a letter of employment so I absolutely expected an RFE. Any idea how long it will be until they actually schedule an interview?

Wow, congrats! :)

 

I only sent the 2015 tax return and had to send my husband's letter of employment and some pay stubs on Thursday to avoid an RFE.

But I read that it also can be either the letter of employment or the pay stubs. You are not required to send both.

I also did something along these lines.

 

I sent my husband's 2016 W2 and 1040 because we were SUPER on top of it and filed the moment we received his information from his work, also included a letter from his employer and pay stubs from the previous 6 months. It was his first year filing, he lived with me in Canada for a while and never made enough to file the years before.

 

My FIL co-sponsored me and was not super on top of it when he got his tax information from his work, I submitted his 2014/2015 tax return information, letter from employer, and pay stubs from the previous 6 months. I haven't received an RFE as of yet, I am hoping what we submitted will please the USCIS officer looking at our case.

 

 

On another note - I also received 3 new NOA1s to correct the previously incorrect ones.

Still no update on where my case is or whether it was even received. I have an info pass appointment tomorrow and I'm going to bring a complete copy of the original packet with a new check and photos and see if they will just take that and ensure delivery. Otherwise I'm placing a cancel on my previous check and just sending a new petition.

Is really sad what is happening to you I've been reading your updates and at this point I believe you should resend your application and cancel the check because if you don't they might cash you twice
