Hi guys, I just did the biometric this week, what do I need expect now? Ps: I didn't file the i131

Hello well to be honest I think you should just wait for now until you hear from USCIS if you came in a K1 visa the might waive your interview otherwise they'll schedule one for you just wait until your online case updates and keep checking on the mail sometimes they don't update their website also if you are lucky you won't receive any RFE Wich just makes the process faster

Hi have you figured out if there is a grace period?? Thanks,

There is no grace period.

You have to file for renewal of your EAD which should be done before the EAD expires (within 90 days).

Actually, there is.. But you have to be eligible for it.. And you filed after 1/17/17..

i didn't file my EAD renewal until 2 weeks before it was gonna expire, and HR thought I was gonna have to be go on LOA until their lawyer told them I'm ok to work cause of the 180 days extension.

Oh...I thought it's the same as if you file for Removal of Conditions which you have to do within 90 days.

If she can still renew her EAD she should do that as soon as possible.

I applied for my son I-485, I-765 and I-130 he is came in with a B1 B2 tourist visa and decided to aos for him.

I filed it on Feb 17 and USCIS received on Feb 22 and got RFE initial on the March 02 or something I did send it the same day i got the rfe and they were asking to change the I 864EZ since i used this form for a prior application for my older son who is already a GC holder so i resubmited and the status changed to USCIS RECEIVED YOUR RESPONSE FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE and we have his fingerprints on March 31 by the way I received this letter one day after the rfe came and also saw al the issues with the system showing it was the same to me after they got the rfe response it showed.

I was trying to figure it out if we already have that update showing that they received our response to initial evidence means they accepted or just input that and a day later they review it or they review it fisrt and they are happy with the response they update the case online...what are your feelings on this...

Im in LA and also want to know my son is 16 years old..do you think is able to havw the interview waived..

Thank you.

Has anyone had any updates to their case since their biometrics appointment?

Mine still says Fingerprint Fee Received; I know I had my appointment last week and we are only a month into this process, and it's going to be a long wait but it already feels like it's been forever! I am hoping USCIS picks up the pace a bit...

When did they update it? And when was your biometrics done?

I saw a couple people have that, and that the status stayed like that for a while before they actually got an interview date, but it would be movement in the case. I am also worrying about getting an RFE, if it's ready for an interview I would feel better haha

Yes I know hopefully it will take only a couple of months for USCIS to schedule my interview.

I hope you don't get any RFE.

When did you do your biometrics?

You have to keep in mind that most of the time they don't update their cases

Hopefully. I saw someone in the January forum had their interview scheduled today for May 1, (I believe it was from January forum) which would be nice if they move that quickly.

I hope I don't either! Maybe I will get a nice USCIS person processing who overlooks any mishaps lol

I did my biometrics last Thursday, March 23. My online case status became available the day before, on March 22. I know they don't always update right away, just hope it's soon!

Yes fingers crossed 😀 I spoke to a T2 and he told me that my case was alresfy sent to the local office even thought it didn't say that for the I 130 that still show that it's been received I think the best and only way to know what's going on is by calling the 800 number, tier 2 are only available (for the most ) in the mornings.

Mine says the same as yours and I did my biometrics a couple of weeks back. I guess most Feb filers will have done their biometrics by now and so there will be a slow down in updates for a while hence this thread has gone quiet!

I know what you mean, I have a job offer with a start date in June. It should give me plenty of time for the EAD to be approved but until it's in my hand, I will be nervous :P

That's true, I didn't consider that

I know what you mean, I have a job offer for "as soon as I get my EAD" but not willing to give me a letter to expedite. Makes me antsy to get it asap!
