I really don't think you will. I've never seen anyone get RFE after their case is ready for an interview. They've looked over your case and obviously think it's ready for an interview/everything is fine as far as evidence goes. They'll send you a list of documents to bring with you for the interview, but those aren't anything to do with RFE. Good luck and hopefully they will schedule your interview soon!

It makes sense, the lady mentioned something about the list that if I'm missing a single piece of paper during the interview they'll put my case under review and it will take up to 6 months to get another interview

Just make sure you bring all the things they ask for. More than likely, the officer won't ask to see everything. Some people's experiences are that they ask a few questions, look at a few pieces of evidence and approve the couple. If everything is fine and there are no red flags, you will be fine. They might say that they'll need a bit more time to review your case (sometimes officers need their supervisors to sign off on a case), so it could take just a few weeks and you'll be approved. Doesn't necessarily mean you'll get a second interview.

Just an update.

My Biometric is on Monday 27th March. My case status is working now. GC says that fingerprint fee was accepted and local office is working on it. Funny enough my EAD status does not say anything about fingerprint appointment. It only says they received the application on the 27th Feb. I should mention that my fingerprint info letter includes/reflects both case numbers for GC and EAD.

I am sure it is fine but I doubt they update case status very regularly.

I will give it a go with the driving license application tomorrow (without waiting for EAD) so wish me luck. I really need it! closest grocery is nearly 2 miles of dangerous walk in mega heat, despite leaving in central Houston!  I know from other forum topics, some people has been successful and some not so fingers crossed! ;)

Posted package 24th Feb.

received in Chicago 27th Feb.

Money taken 3rd March

NOA via txts and emails received 5th March

NOA letters received 8th March

Biometrics letter received 17th March

Biometrics scheduled for 27th March which is also my husband's birthday :D

Biometrics done today at the Chicago USCIS Application Support Center. Super easy. I didn't bring my phone with me because I was afraid they'd turn me away and I was taking the train there so just didn't want to risk it. But everyone else had phones and the officer just told them to turn them off. They did however have to verify that my marriage certificate was real, not sure why. I definitely recommend bringing your marriage certificate if you applied with your new last name, but have ID in your maiden name. He looked at my passport and said "we have a problem (talking about the name difference)" and I gave him the marriage license and everything was fine. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Now more waiting!

I did my biometrics yesterday, all my ID is in my maiden name and my application is in my married name. Silly me, I didn't bring my marriage certificate - which I take with me everywhere - but the officer just looked at my ID, verified it looked like me, and didn't even comment on the different names. Also super easy, in and out in less than 10 minutes as well. I think marriage certificate may be another thing that is dependent on the USCIS ASC you are at and the officer you get. He may have been having a good day.

Hopefully not too much more waiting!

Oh, I'm so glad he didn't even comment on the different names. I don't even like thinking about that - being turned away, etc. That's why I didn't even risk bringing my phone. And you're so right, so far my experience with USCIS officers has been that it always differs from officer to officer (some polite, some rude), even the information they provide changes from person to person.

Hi guys,

My kids Form I-485 was returned to USCIS by the post office. However, they sent it out again which I received today. On the notice written in red ink "ACTION COMPLETED APPROVED FOR FILING" what does this mean. Has anyone ever received this?

Hi everyone, I sent my I-485 with I-130(USC hubby) on 02/02/17 to the Chicago lockbox but haven't heard from them yet. Anybody know how long it'll take? Cause I need that NOA to apply for EAD (I didn't know I could apply with I-485)

Also, my current EAD is expiring 3/4/17 and my employer is looking for my new EAD... Anybody know if there's a grace period?

Hi have you figured out if there is a grace period?? Thanks,
