Are your online case status working now?? Mine started working when I got back from the biometrics appointment yesterday so if my theory is right everyone of us who is having this issue will be able to check their status after their biometrics appt.

My online case status started working for EAD & APD after my Biometrics appointment (my I-485 case status was functioning well before that). The theory might still have some merit and could be an indication that the Biometrics were successfully received.

Just wanted to give an update from my Infopass appointment today for anyone who might be in a similar situation.

I went to the Chicago field office since all of my NOA1 were missing dates. They said there's nothing they can do. They told me to make copies of the notices, highlight the missing parts and mail them back to the address at the bottom of the notice to request new notices with dates.

I also asked about when I might be able to check my cases online and he said to check back in another month.

Yes that's what they told me too and they said the only important thing is the reciept number :( So my 1hr drive to the city was pointless

Edit:

Just checked my cases online. The AOS reciept number I was able to track since the RFE. The EAD/AP reciept number are working now. (1day after biometrics)

I did them in Seattle too, The tukwila support center, it was really quick I was actually surprised they just gave me a number call and call me five minutes later, photo, finger prints, signature and that was it.

Wait until Thursday and call USCIS. Tell them you've been waitig for 30 days now and that you haven't received your NOA1 yet. That's what the woman on the phone told me yesterday. I have to wait one more week and then I will call them again. She told me that on day 30 they can connect you to someone at the Lockbox facility. She also told me that there is a backlog. Maybe this is why it takes so long for us to receive NOA1.

I just called them again. They keep saying 'wait 2 more weeks' and tell me if I send another petition they could cash the check twice. This is getting absolutely ridiculous. My wife cant work, cant drive, cant do anything and all they tell us to do is wait.

He suggested to make an info pass appointment but the soonest available appointment isnt until April. At a complete loss what to do here. For now I just made an appointment and I'll bring our application and the documents with me directly there.

Hey everyone, I woke up this morning and my online case status tracking worked! AP and EAD are showing as received, AOS is showing fingerprint fee was received, so at this point no RFEs (though I am still going through every reason I could get one in my head).

My biometrics appointment is tomorrow afternoon. They may just be slow getting everyone's information going online. Hopefully more people can check theirs!

I love the consistency on both of our cases! Mines also started working now.  But I have a questions... Mines says

"On February 17, 2017, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC*****. Our National Benefits Center location is working on your case. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Does that mean I have an RFE????? Also, I did the biometrics on 03/14/2017, a walk in since my biometrics was actually scheduled for today. Should I be worried?

No, it's not an RFE, mine has had that message since they received my application. It seems like that message is their way of saying the biometrics letter is on the way. I too, went for an early walk in, they just seem really slow to update their system.

Mine says the same thing and I am under the understanding that it just means they sent out your NOA1/Biometrics Notice for that case. If you get an RFE it should say something along the lines of Request for Evidence notice sent.

When you did your walk in bio appointment did they give you anything to say that it's done? They should have, so that if something happens you have proof you got it done. I have a feeling USCIS is just really slow updating everyone's cases so I'm sure it's not a issue that your walk in appointment isn't reflected yet online. Maybe wait a couple days?
