Has anyone ever heard of USCIS giving courtesy calls?

I got a call from a (213) 334-3502 number but I missed it so they left a voicemail saying its courtesy call from uscis but they didn't really say what the courtesy call was for ? Also they didn't leave a name or a call back number...

be careful, it could be a scam, in America we have people who like to cheat on new immigrants and on anybody. Don't give any information on the phone unless YOU call them to the official number you can verify. But better do everything in writing to official addres or official email

Congrats, thats good news! :) Well we sent our Feb 2 and got there last Feb 6 just this Monday. We haven't got any txt or email notification yet. :( Hopefully we get something today or tomorrow. Btw, how did you know ur cheqyue was en cashed?

I knew the checks got cashed once that $1760 that had been so hard worked for and saved up was gone out of the bank.  :P

No worries, everything will come through in it's due time.  I typically worry like crazy over these things, but I figured that the best thing to do is simply trust that everything was filled out, checked, and re-checked three more times and now that it's in, just let it run it's course.

If you check their timeline they entered on a tourist visa, so they needed to file for a i130 as well, hence the higher fee paid

Got the I-797 in the mail yesterday. Sadly it was a bit wet due to all the rain, but it's still legible.  Now waiting for the Biometrics date.

Poubon, I got four emails and five texts (one was repeated) over the course of half an hour.   And in the mail, there were four i-797C for each form you mentioned. I've heard of other people getting the other texts later.   I wouldn't worry.  Make sure everything shows up in the mail first.

Glad to here that everyone else is coming along too.

Checks were cashed on the 9th, the day after the text notifications.

I remember seeing in the Janauary 2017 thread that some also had that happen where there checks got cashed and then they got there notification later.  Did you fill out the G-1145 and put it after the checks?

Yes I did. I thought it was weird that the checks were cashed but no text or email.. I guess I'll have to keep waiting..
