My was received 412 days ago today. I have filed my ead renewal and that is 32 days old now.  Cant figure out why it is taking that long. But on the bright side, I can work and i am paying in state tuition in school so that is great. Hopefully I will get my interview this year

Did you pay some money in filing again for EAD? I have to renew mine too.

Hi Everyone! I am one of the February filers in 2017 who have not received the new 10 years green card yet. However, I have an urgent case to go out side the state ASAP. I just made an appointment for the Stamp thing on green card or passport (1 more year extension). I wonder if I can leave on the next day  after the appointment date? Is there anymore thing I have to do other than getting the stamp before going?

This is the AOS forum not the ROC...

As soon as you have the stamp you should be fine. I wouldn't leave it up to the last day to get that stamp though, what if the office all of a sudden is closed or something?!

I had my AOS interview on the 7th of March 2018, over three weeks now. Went really quick, straight forward and was told that they couldn't make a decision on the day as they only got looking at my case. My status has been at 'Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed' ever since. I regret not asking how long I should be expected to wait, like an estimate or even ask if there is no update by x date when should I contact them. Anyone have an idea how long I should wait before contacting them? I'm probably just getting impatient at this stage, but my combo card expires this May and my extension/renewal I applied last February just says 'Case Was Received.' I don't want to get into the situation where I can't work or even drive...

When they sent you the acceptance letter for EAD/AP renewal it mentions that is the proof of the 180 day extension on that letter.

Hello fellow Feb filers

Did you see the new processing times format? Like in my case,  my field office is Dallas, the current case inquiry date is August 2015 for i-485. They said you can not submit an "outside normal processing time" inquiry if your receipt number is not before that??? Did they just make that extremely depressing for us?

I saw the new times. For a Houston filer the amount of time for AOS is 11 months to 29.5 months. Any service requests not 30 months or older will be just answered that the case is within normal processing times. And yes the non normal time would go back to 2015!!!

Yeah, I know right. I remember when I checked sometime February before the new website was launched the processing time for Dallas was January 4, 2018, I was so excited. Then when the new processing time was launched.. i literally fainted seeing it went back to 2015!:(

The new Removal of Conditions timelines look equally disheartening - at this rate we'll all be applying for naturalization before we get conditions removed. However, it's a drag for everyone waiting for AOS that the timeline for ROC and naturalization doesn't start until AOS is approved...

There is no fee for renewing EAD/AP  - see top of page 16 in I-765 instructions.

I was honestly hoping to skip the ROC process because June 1st makes 2 year wedding anniversary however we just had interview on Monday. It was not approved on the spot however. The lady said she had everything she needed from us but she was missing the original visa file she would have to request from National Visa Center and a decision would be mailed or another interview request would be sent. I was flabbergasted an interview was even scheduled without having all necessary files.

It's so hard to believe that the new processing times are accurate... I compared the AOS processing times of my field office to Los Angeles. Most of the people from Los Angeles that were in this and the March AOS thread including some friends received their interview within 4-6 months (with only very few exceptions). This page says 10-24 months?! That is a huge discrepancy. It's a known thing that Los Angeles City office processes the applications fairly fast. Compared to that San Diego is supposedly 6-18.5 months and thus a lot faster even though everywhere else San Diego is always around the 9-10months mark (which was accurate for my case). I recently saw some more people with LA office getting their interviews around the 5 months mark so it is still pretty current.

Also, that is a very broad estimate that they are giving with an entire year difference?! Could be 6 months or also 18 months????

I'd follow the data here on VJ to be honest as it always seemed the most accurate to me.... I feel like this new processing time table wants to prevent that people keep on bugging USCIS with the excuse "hey it says online that you are currently processing cases from the date XY but you received my cases two weeks prior to that date. How is that possible?" I wouldn't pay too much attention to the new processing times. Yes it likely will take longer than usual, but not this long!!! :)

I'm kinda wishing that I live in LA right now. LOL... I know a friend who got her greencard in just 4 months. So it's really upsetting when a lot of us are still waiting for 14 months now

I bet! I don't even live two hours away from LA and always wished that for the immigration journey we could've had their processing times instead of San Diego's. I would've not minded having my case processed there and would've gladly driven there for the interview lol

And I know it's tough to wait so long, especially because it seems unfair that the citizenship clock starts ticking not from when you filed for AOS (which I personally think is how it should be) but from when you're Greencard got approved.

But as I said...I wouldn't stress about the new website processing times too much... they are not accurate in my opinion.
