Hello AOS friends,

Anybody from Florida Feb 2017 Fillers, has received any update about the prossiding of their AOS petitions? I just keep seeing people from others states getting Interviewed and some other gettings their green cards directly in their mail boxes,.

My local office processing time still has Dec 2016 for the I 485 petitions!

Its cant be real right? I have also tried to take an infopass appointment online but is totally impossible, the webpage doesn't offer any available date (considering the visibility of only 14 days given)

What to do? ......my Medical exams will expire in a few weeks .

wow what a nice 2018 beginning ....

peace people, take care.

Hi. We were Florida Feb 2017 filers. My hubs got his green card with no interview in October. We got a RIFE where we had to send in all the documents you typically need with an interview. We sent that of and then about 3 weeks later he got his green card in the mail. Our local office was either Orlando or Jacksonville, because we were told to send the RIFE packet to Jax. I also feel that they don't update the website with the proper times very often.

Keep in mind that unless your case says it is ready to be scheduled for interview it might not be at your local office yet, so there is really no guarantee that looking at local timelines gives you any meaningful information.

Thank you for the tip!

Also I have a question regarding the I-693 (medical). At this point the medical is expired because its been more than one year since it was done. When I submitted the papers the medical was still under that 1 year mark, now because the process took a year, my medical is now expired. Do I need to redo my medical or will the one that I sent a year ago be ok even though that one will be over a year old?

I hope this clarifies your question;

https://my.uscis.gov/helpcenter/article/i-received-a-request-for-evidence-rfe-for-an-updated-form-i-693-report-of-medical-examination-and-vaccination-record-but-i-already-submitted-this-form-with-my-form-i-485-application-to-register-permanent-residence-or-adjust-status-do-i-need-to

Source: USCIS Website

"I received a request for evidence (RFE) for an updated Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, but I already submitted this form with my Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. Do I need to submit another Form I-693?
Yes, Form I-693 is normally valid for a period of one year. You must provide a new, updated Form I-693 if the current Form I-693 associated with your case is expired.

And if you are wondering and thinking about processing times, remember at the end of the day, they dont care if you case ran outside of processing times, they need to stick with the policy and rules. So if you are called to the interview and your medical is expired, save you some time, get a new one.

Good luck

Hi everyone

just a quick recap about our case.

same sex couple here our Uscis office is Baltimore Maryland.

so we applied in February but there was a mistake with the papers so it was returned and was received again on end of February .

fingerprinting was a month after then we waited till they assigned our interview on November 16th, the interview went well, all usual questions about how we met and family members names and addresses, nothing out of the ordinary.

the IO told us that we have a strong case and she will try to finish it by same day.

but we didn’t hear from them for 2 whole months so I raised a service request on January 15th and the day after I got the notification that our case was approved ( I don’t think my SR had anything to do with that) and my husband received his actually green card 2 days ago.

hopefully my time line can help someone on here and thank you for all the information you’re sharing.

best,
