Hello guys So I finally had my interview in the Seattle field office and this is my experience interview was around 10:30 in the morning I live like an hour driving from the place so we decided to stay in a hotel nearby the night before. We were so emotional that we could not even sleep the night before. We arrived to the support center around 9:55 am and there was a fee of 7 dollars cash for parking. Went through security and waited for our name to be called, we were called roughly 10 minutes after 10:30 and we walked invited the office and were put under oath, the interview was very intensive they wanted to know more about my life back in my country and how many of family members are living in the US no questions about my relationship were asked to me other than what we put on the forms, and if I knew her family, IO wasn’t rude but make sure everything was in place didn’t want to look at the additional evidence as she explained us that she was making this decision based on the initial evidence we sent, I believe she only took our latest bank statement because my wife was hesitant for the IO to see it, she did not explain anything about conditional greencard or anything like that in fact she mentioned she wasn’t making a decision on that day and that it looked a bit difficult since I overstated my visa and that further review was needed since I came in a tourist visa she asked me why I stayed and what was my real intention. At the end she scorted us out and she didn’t say anything else just “you will hear from us in the next 120 days you may be call for a second interview or you’ll get a decision in the mail. Yesterday we receive letters of approval for both I 485 and I 130 and my greencard is arriving today.

i tried calling USCIS and asked for a Tier 2 officer but they won't transfer me. They said the officer will just tell me the same thing.

Congratulations and what did you tell her were your intentions when you stayed back

I was honest with her , I explained that I came to visit my family but everything changed when I enrolled in school. If you are in the same situation you have to make sure that your IO understand that your initial intentions when you got your visa was just to travel, make sure you don’t lie as they have already done their homework on you. She even had all of my visa application and school documents.

I was just curious to know and congratulations.

I finally got my interview notice (scheduled for next month). 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Priority date Feb 17,2017.

The medical form was filled out in January 2017. It will be a little over a year since it’s been filled out. Does anyone know if I have to go back to the doctor or not?

From my understanding, I believe you have to file the I-90 form even if USCIS is in possession of your card. They will not resend the card, they will only issue a new one. You may have to file the I-90 online and put never received card as reason, that waves the filing fee.

Edited to add: I know that seems nuts that they don't resend cards. I also think they shouldn't need new biometrics and pictures taken for a card that was just issued and not received, but they still make people do that too.

USPS completely lost my husband's green card. They marked it as delivered but it was never placed in our mailbox. That was back in August, we have no idea what happened to it. We had to apply again, luckily managed to get the $540 fee waived (they don't usually do that if lost by USPS) and just completed biometrics in December. We were told it could take a year or more to get the new green card, which is completely ridiculous. We had to travel out of the country, so they gave him a stamp in his passport that serves as proof of residency for a year.
