Hi everyone. My husband got his green card without an interview! In early September, we received an RIFE for evidence we have a valid marriage (bank accounts, joint mail, joint taxes and so on). On September 29th we sent off our massive packet to Jacksonville with all of our evidence. And then on October 14th my husband got a letter saying he had been approved and that the card will come shortly. But the card was also in the mail! So happy! Wanted to share.

Congratulations! Glad the response to the RFIE resulted in an interview waiver.

Update:

I was just spammed with text messages this morning by USCIS. So I go check what it is all about, and my new card is in production! I was approved without an interview, which makes what the T2 officer said even weirder.

It took 236 days from them receiving it to being approved.

Hi filers

congratulations to everyone who got their green cards already and best of luck to the ones who’s waiting.

we received our interview notice last week for November 16th in Baltimore Maryland.

we applied in early March (we originally applied in February but was returned because of missing papers) and received RFIE and responded to it in April . Then we received Work permit and AP card in June .

fingers crossed that we get approved on the spot.

good luck.

Congrats!!! How weird it was never assigned but a green card approval beats all that! Gives me hope because I thought when sent to local office that always meant an interview and that was not the case for you!

Yeah for sure it’s weird. When I called in, the T2 officer never really specified where it has been sent to exactly. He kept mentioning “local field office” even when I asked if it was sent to NYC directly. The only thing I can think of is if it was transferred to another field office or service center that isn’t my local one to have it approved without an interview.

Anyway, doesn’t matter too much now. I’m just happy the wait is over and I’m hoping that everyone else gets positive news soon too!

So I had put in a service request and found out that my case was sent to Portland, Maine instead of Boston. When I had checked the case processing times for Portland earlier this month they were working on cases from January 9, 2017 and today I went to go check and the date had regressed to November 2016. This has been such a frustrating journey. It has been 265 days since I applied for AOS
