Just called USCIS to speak to a Tier 2 officer because my case has been pending for longer than 180 days. Unfortunately that wasn't of much help. All she was able to tell me is that my case is still at the MSC, not even that it's in line for an interview waiver or anything. She said besides the day they received my biometrics they don't have any other updates for me.

She did submit a service request on my behalf as well as a second service request to see if my case can be sent to Albany instead of NYC in case I need an interview. She said it's unlikely but she at least tried to get some info for me which is something I guess. I have to say I'm a little disappointed, I was hoping for some more information but unfortunately my call didn't do much besides submit the service requests.

We had the exact same response as you earlier this month. And then 1 week later we received a notification saying our new card was being produced...so all you can do is keep playing the waiting game, which I know sucks. hang in there!

That's good to hear, but I don't want to hope for too much just to be let down then. Did you also talk to a T2 officer at that time and they also didn't say anything besides that the case is still at the MSC? And did they do a service request for you?

Yes the tier 2 is the one who told us they had no information aside that the case was still at the NBC. Couldn't even tell us if the interview would have been waived. Didn't do a SR because we werent past the 180 day mark at that point.

Weird, I asked the same questions too and asked if she could tell me if I'm in line for an interview or an interview waiver. She had no info whatsoever besides that my case is still at the NBC. Guess I'll keep checking the status if my SR for now and hope for the best.

Thank you.

How did you get to talk to a person? Did you press 3 to report a problem with your case? We would like to talk to someone who can give us that information. Thanks!

When I call I hit 1*346 and then ask to be transfered to a tier 2 immigration officer. Then they usually set up a call back.

Hi everyone, this neverend blind waiting is literally getting me sick.
I got my EAD card already last may, but since Feb no news about my AOS, only Biometrics and no more communications whatsoever from USCIS.

Last Aug 31 i sent a E-request asking from news about my case, and i got an automatic replay giving to me a Referral Number, and telling me that my inquire would be process and an replay will be send to me by Aug 21. Well today is already Aug 22 and the status of the enquire is "currently not assigned for processing"

In the meantime i just keep seeing other people who has filed in April getting approved and receiving their GC.

I'm sorry for sharing my post eclipse mood, but got not anybody else with whom cooling off this anxious.

Peace x all.

Processing

Estimates/Stats : Your EAD was approved in 99 days

Wow... Only today i have gotten a replay to my e-request sent last July 30 about the process timing of my AOS. So here what they said in the email sent to me this morning.

"Recently you contacted USCIS concerning your pending Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative. Systems show that your application is in the queue pending an interview appointment. You should be receiving this appointment notification from your local Field Office."

Folks, is so evident that PUSH a Button on a simple keyboard is extremely difficult.... so after more than 6 month only now I know my case in the Local Field Office in Miami, when it was transferred only god knows... it. In all of this noticed that online my status have never changed from We received your Case, dated las 01/26/2017.

Now people be ready for this. Miami Field Office is processing October 2016 according to the USCIS's expensive, fanzy, processing time webpage.

Anyway, at least now i know the case is still in process, and now is just about to wait a little more longer.

Peace 2 u all...

What the USCIS homepage says about processing times doesn't mean much. For my field office it also says October 2016, yet, I was unexpectedly scheduled for an interview although I'm a late Feb filer with RFIE response received in April (so technically April filer). Others who filed in December with the same field office are still waiting for an appointment. So don't rely on those processing times, you can get an interview appointment whenever they feel like it.

On a side note: Don't get so caught up on not having your Greencard and make that upset you so much. You can work and you have your parole to leave the country.... be glad that you have those privileges (and got them relatively fast compared to others) and don't let something you can't control anyways upset you like that.  I completely understand the people being upset that they have to wait forever for their EAD so they can start living a normal life, the Greencard is nice to have but it doesn't really improve your life here more than the EAD did (unless you want to apply for a government job, then I understand). Take a chill pill!

Hello Californiansunset,

Yes, you're totally right, being upset doesn't let you see over the tip of your nose sometimes! And you re also right when you said I should consider myself lucky, the rough part is already done, and I'm finally happy living together my husband .

I appreciate your comment,  I'm Alone for now, no many friends yet, and you have ring a bell i needed to hear, :-) Feel much better now.  Wish you a serene evening! :-)

aww I'm glad what I said helped. You' ll get your interview when you least expect it (I booked flights to go home to Germany and boom my interview is suddenly scheduled within that same time frame) ;)

I know being alone (besides your having your partner) in a different country is tough! I've been living in San Diego for quite a while and made lots of friends through social sports leagues for adults. It's leagues that you join for fun (not competitive) and after each game your team gets a card to get free drinks at a local bar so everyone goes out together. Anyways I quickly looked that up for Miami :

It's crazy how fast you make friends here in the U.S. joining something like that for one season. I did this once over two years ago and still have lots of friends from that time when I played in a recreational league. You don't have to be good in sports, most just join to meet new people. Try joining something like that. Makes you forget about your Greencard worries :)

Hi everyone. My husband called USCIS because it's been six months since we submitted our case with no news. They said it's too early to report a problem, and that we have to wait six months until anything has happened with our case, meaning biometrics in march. So we have to wait more. Still no news. He has his EAD and we applied for his AP for December so hopfully that works out.

Also I get an email from Visa Journey saying that I should update my timeline because based on their timelines my husbands interview should have been in June. Which it obviously was not. Just annoying to be reminded by them to update things when thre haven't been any.

He should have asked for a Tier 2 officer when he called. You are allowed to file a service request 180 days after they acknowledged your paperwork. Going by your signature, I'm assuming that was March 1st. So starting August 28th you should have been able to file a service request with USCIS. They're known to not do much for your case, but you can ask to speak to a Tier 2 officer who actually has some information on your case. The people answering the phones don't have anymore info than you do.

Sometimes the representatives answering the phones will try to push back and offer you info without having to transfer you anywhere. I literally had to ask the lady I was speaking to five times before she gave in. She also had no idea that K-1 adjusters can have their interview waived. I'd call again and ask firmly, but also while being polite to speak to a Tier 2 officer. If you're in line for an interview or an interview waiver, the Tier 2 will be able to tell you that. But in some cases they also really don't have any kind of info like when I called. But you never know.

I've been stuck on Fingerprint Fee Received since February 27th.

same here. filed 3rd week of February. Bitometrics was in March.

Then March 29th, case was updated to, "Case ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview" but since then no updates. No letter of interview date, been waiting...

EAD and AP received on May..

Is it still possible to skip the interview even with the "Case ready to be scheduled for an interview" status? And how many more days weeks months to wait 😫
