Sorry to hear that! Don't be too disappointed though. There are plenty of instances where the "ready to schedule interview" status is skipped and you go directly to "interview scheduled for".

What number did you call?

what was your status prior to this? has the interview date been scheduled or did the status just change to "ready to be scheduled for interview"?

My greencard status before this was "Response to request for evidence was received on April 18,2017."

To my knowledge, the interview has not been scheduled yet. when it is scheduled, I think they'll send me a letter of notification in the mail.

My EAD status before this week was "application was received Feb.2, 2017"

Hello my fellow filers! I'm back. .been  busy looking for a job after i got my EAD. anyway, i have an interview tomorrow...yay!

This is a little off topic but I want to warn everyone that someone texted me saying "Your MSC#### case been is not updated. Checked at MyCase status at uscis.gov". I got suspicious because this is about my EAD and I already got it last June. I googled the number..it starts with (+1505), it's a number in Arizona. I know this is not legit uscis number, so why the hell he/she knows my msc and celfone numbers? I think it's a bait ...he/she is a poser trying to scam unsuspecting filers.

They must've done something in the system that generated a bunch of text messages. I got these types of texts in the beginning of June too, and again yesterday, for both EAD and i-485. It's just a glitch.

It's legit. It comes from the exact same number as all the other text messages I have ever received from USCIS. Exact same number as when I received texts about my i-129f last year too. So it's from USCIS alright, I guess they had a little glitch.

Of course not. If you check their website you will find this: https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/customer-service-tools-outage

There is NOTHING suspicious about it. They have had some issues with their system that has sent out texts for a while now (I got my first unnecessary text in the beginning of june), it's just a glitch and that might be why they closed down the service tools on their website to perform some maintenance.

Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone knows how strict they are about when we can call inquiring about my husband's case? He has his EAD, but his green card status still says "Fingerprint fee received." No RIFE as of yet, NOTHING. Not a peep! Is it true we have to wait 6 months from our receipt date to call and place an inquiry? Is it possible they lost our packet? Is 800-375-5283 the number we call to speak to an actual person?

We are thinking of filing for AP if we haven't heard anything by August so he can go home for Christmas. Really disheartening. Any advice? Thanks.

Just the regular 800 number on uscis website. Had to press a few selections then got routed to human. Yea they told me that mine was at local office. If that's true who knows. Give them a call. Make sure the person the green card is for is at the phone because they need to give permission for You to talk to them
