February 2017 AOS Filers

Hello everyone! 

 

It's almost February and I figured I'll start a thread for those of us who will be sending off their AOS package soon. 

I am the beneficiary and our package is just about done. I am waiting for the I-864's and then it'll be complete. 

 

Let's hope for speedy processing times.

Sent the I-130and i-485 off in the mail on Monday and arrived at the Chicago Lockbox today, 2/1/17.

Sent the I-485, I-131 and I-765 on the 30th, and received email and text receipt numbers for all 3 last night. Hopefully a sign of good timing to come!

My attorney sent the documents on Feb 1, 2017. I hope everyone will have no delay for AOS.

Congrats!! We mailed out Packet 3 (Germany) and are waiting for something to schedule interview!! These last steps seem like forever!!!

Hope all is well. We sent our AOS with AED and AP last Feb 2 via Fedex. We are hoping for a smooth process.

Hello everyone, I guess I am a February filer since I received the texts/emails with receipt numbers for all components of my AOS package today, 02/06. Is this considered the NOA date?

 

I've been in the US for almost 8 years now on an F-1 visa. I finished my graduate studies and now I'm working under a post-completion OPT since June of 2016. Got married to a USC in November, and filed for AOS from F1 to LPR. I got a bit worried because I didn't hear anything from USCIS since the day they received my package, 01/25, but thankfully they sent the e-mails and cashed the checks today.

 

I hope it will be a smooth process, and especially that my EAD will be processed in time before my current OPT EAD expires 06/05/2017.

Since I'm based in Austin, TX, will my biometrics appointment also take place in San Antonio? I'd appreciate it if anyone knew.

 

Also, a dumb question: how does one add their timeline as a signature?

Hi all, we are gathering everything needed to file for Feb. I double checked our forms and decided to send the newer versions even though they said they were still accepting old ones if filed before 02/21/17. Just working on getting the cashier's check ready. Hope all goes well with everyone's AOS packets.

Good luck. I did the same thing. Our document was ready mid January but we waited for the money to be there. So when I check there were new forms so I worked on the new ones. We sent ours last 2/2/2017. Upon checking since we sent it via Fedex it should get to Chicago today late afternoon. #Excited.

Thanks! Just mailed the documents today! Whew what a process . I sent via USPS. We also needed to save money as well so it took a little longer for us to get everything together.

Thats good to know. The only reason we sent it through Fedex was that we will feel at ease knowing someone will sign it upon receiving. We spent $10 for 2 days shipping. It wasnt that much but I do understand whatever makes us save some we go from there. Btw , our documents got there yesterday around 3pm. Lets keep in touch hoping for a smooth process.

Hi everyone, I sent my I-485 with I-130(USC hubby) on 02/02/17 to the Chicago lockbox but haven't heard from them yet. Anybody know how long it'll take? Cause I need that NOA to apply for EAD (I didn't know I could apply with I-485)

 

Also, my current EAD is expiring 3/4/17 and my employer is looking for my new EAD... Anybody know if there's a grace period?

Sent AOS packet in the mail on 1/30/17. 

Arrived 2/1/17

Last night got 5 (?) text messages from USCIS confirming receipt and four emails confirming the same.

 

Checks have not been cashed.  Probably some time today.
