Hello Segliah, Congratulations on your CC. What's your scan date? Also, Can you please share your interview date, once you receive notice?  I'm keen to really know whats up with Lagos embassy. Thanks and all the best.

The "scan date" is the date that NVC receives your supporting documents.  For example, if you send your documents on February 1 via FedEx and FedEx tracking shows NVC received it on February 3, but NVC enters it into their system that they received it on February 6 = scan date is February 6 and this is the date when the clock starts ticking.  Currently, NVC is taking about 10-12 weeks since your scan date to review documents.

UN FREAKING BELIEVABLE!!

 

I am just one hour from leaving for my interview when I check my email and they tell me I've been rescheduled for Mar 28 because the idiot Pakistani government decided to make today a holiday.

 

I cannot tell you how upset I am. I'm currently here with my wife and daughter and am now going to have to completely change my travel plans. This might cost me thousands of dollars.

 

1. Is "no-reply@aeg.com.pk" a legitimate email from the US Embassy in Islamabad?

 

I already called NVC and they had no idea. They still show today as my interview date and said if the embassy rescheduled it I would have to contact them.

 

2. Is there any chance the embassy could give me an earlier date. Anyone have experience with this? They are closed today so will have to call tomorrow.

 

I'm guessing I can't request an expedite at this point since I already have an interview scheduled. Am I right?

That is just sooooooo awful. I am so sorry. I would call them and demand an interview ASAP and discuss your travel plans. I have read somewhere they CAN change the interview date at Islamabad embassy. Oh I would be pissed if they did that to my husband who will be traveling all the way from Karachi. That is soooooooo not right. If I was in your place, I would go to the embassy directly as soon as they open and see if they can let me interview. It doesn't hurt as you are already in Islamabad aren't you ?

I am living 3 hours drive away from Islamabad right now. I already called the embassy and they said the visa department is closed so i should call back tomorrow.

Yes I was able to get my interview date over the phone today. Can you please add to the spreadsheet? Go interview date 2/28/17 interview date April 10, 2017. God Bless!
