I haven't been on here in a couple weeks, but wanted to let everyone know that my husband and I are currently in Ciudad Juarez - we've completed his medical and biometrics appointments, and everything was a breeze! It's actually been fun to be here. His interview is at 7:15 AM tomorrow morning - wish us luck!! And I'll catch up on all the messages when we finally return home :) Hope everyone is doing well!

Honestly, not sure about original vs copy for the citizenship certificate, but we are taking the original naturalization certificate with a copy.  You can also take a copy of the petitioner's biographic page of a valid US passport

Original birth certificate and a copy of it - if you don't take a copy, they may keep the original

I've emailed the consulate where I'll have my interview to ask them about the birth certificate for the petitioner, as I hadn't heard about that til these forums. So just to be safe and make sure I don't miss anything, I'm asking them for a list of what I'll need to bring. I also explained about my husband being here in NZ so we would have to request a birth certificate from america, and therefore I need to know soon. I asked super nice, so hopefully they give me a thorough and non-confusing reply :-)

I suspect different consulates may require different documents, just like different documents are required for some countries vs others when it comes to AOS and IV packages.

For example on DHL this is my tracking-

shipper reference : EXP 15 FEB 2017A

date range ship from : 15 feb 2017

date range ship to : 17 feb 2017

leave the account number

select the country : United Arab Emirates

Hope this helps. Good luck!!

one question...

the P4 letter said I need to bring the Civil document

is that means I don't need to bring any AOS document? such as tax return, W2...etc

if I do need to bring AOS document

my husband told me the tax season is April, since my interview will be in March.

is that mean I don't need to bring 2016 tax document?

please help~thank you!

Hi, you must to bring the AOS signed copy to the interview, you must to bring the w-2 form for 2016 taxes and full taxes from previus years.

Posted

When I submitted the AOS I only submitted it with an IRS transcript from 2015. The embassy instructions in my case say that a COPY of the original affidavit of support and a the IRS transcript OR (W2 form and tax return)

You wont need 2016 tax documents
