How long does it usually take for a K1 Visa Interview to be scheduled in Riyadh US Embassy?

NVC has forwarded our case to the Embassy in November.

My fiance already sent his DS-160 on January 16.

He has not received any email from the Embassy regarding an interview appointment.

Our approval from USCIS expires in 3 weeks.

I completed my ds160 end of September and sent my package to the embassy two weeks later. My petition expired on December 29, and they didn't respond until Jan 26 (requesting a copy of my ds160, weird I know) the day before trump issued the Muslim Ban and my fiancé happens to be a citizen of one of those 7 countries so I don't believe I'll be hearing back for a while, although I hear it's been temporarily overturned this embassy has been really slow on processing so idk

Also every time I'd email them they'd say to be patient and that it's a first come first serve basis, however I saw a member who had there noa2 two weeks after me get an appointment in November so when I emailed them a few days ago that it's been 4 months with no response they were quick to reply

They emailed you back only to ask for a copy of your DS160? No interview schedule yet?

First come, first serve... Is that for when they receive the DS160 or the case from the NVC?

They received my case from NVC first week of December. But the DS160 we sent Jan 16.

Not entirely sure if it's based on when they get the ds160 or when they recieve the case.

About a month after I filed I emailed them asking about how an interview is scheduled and they told me " You will be contacted once an appointment is made"

Fast forward to a week before Christmas I informed them my petition was expiring on the 29th of December (so they've had the case for 3months ) and they send me the same email as the first time I emailed

now I was getting impatient so I emailed them flat out told them it's been 4 months and I haven't heard anything yet, and asked if I should be expecting one soon.

They replied two days later and asked me to send a copy of my ds-160 (I filled it out September 29) about a week ago and now I'm waiting to see what they say

best of luck and hopefully you don't have to wait as long as I have, unfortunately I've noticed saudis wait less and foreigners usually wait more...

email them reminding them that the petition is set to expire soon and that's it, see what they respond to you
