Can not imagine he Father would be keen on the child coming to the US, just think of the child support...

She is in the Dominican. She has visited here and we have spent plenty of time together. Not an issue. We are waiting for the consulate meeting for her sons visa. She already has a tourist visa. I will visit her in March

Please be aware that a tourist visa does not permit coming to the US with the intention to stay. If you decide to get married (Im not sure because you've said "my friend", not "my fiancee" but ha e talked about marriage, look into the K1 or the CR1. If your son goes to the visa interview and talks about moving to the US but your wife hasn't applied for a non-tourist visa, she could get a red flag and possibly be denied entry at POE. Just make sure you get the correct visa!

Ithink the K1 and CR1 both allow the beneficiary to bring children under 18 with them if filed appropriately. Check out the guides. Good luck!

Guess it's not about the visa but my son was 10 years old when we moved and I will say it is a big big thing for a 10 year old also you are completely new to him.

I know you guys are in love but for the child's sake slow down a bit and meet each other some more. Also it's a lot for the child who would have to stay not saying good bye to friends the house they live in and so on may sound stupid but it's just very important for them to be prepared for a process like this. I mean moving to another country is a big thing for us then think about how a child would feel.
