Mine took 3.5 months from filing to interview, also filed online. And another 2 weeks until the Oath.

Denver/Centennial is doing Oath Ceremonies 5x a week, plus judicial ones.

Wow that was fast! When did you filed N400? Thank you!

Did you ever get called for biometrics for the 751? My husband hasn't, we had a few Info Pass appts where the officers just told him everything was normal. Hoping the N400 process is more straightforward

  • 1 month later...

Hi all,

How many people am I allowed to bring to my oath ceremony? I have 4 family members/friends who would like to attend and I wonder if it is too many. Do they all have to come along with me at the same time? I am planning to come early to ensure enough time for check in  and I wonder if some of my guests can come later. Ceremony is at uscis office.

Also, what do you bring to the ceremony besides the notice and green card? My notice says "any other documents issued by uscis" but I am not sure if i should bring all my notices from the beginning of application.

Many thanks in advance!

Hi,

I applied N-400 online on October 20, 2018. I’ve received the letter from USCIS for an interview on May 28, 2019. My 751 is still pending since October 2017.

I just want to update the timeline for anyone who wants to know. Thanks

That's great! Did they tell you if they'll do a combo interview?

We applied N400 in Jan 2019 with 751 pending from Jan 2018 so similar situation --- still waiting for citizenship interview! With your timeline looks like we'll wait another ~4 months!

Thanks for sharing!

A combo interview is one which combines interviews for both the I-751 and the N-400.

They didn’t mention about I-751 in the letter. They just said it’s for citizenship.

Hi,

I just want to share my interview yesterday.

I went there with my husband and our two daughters. I had to pass the security check gate (just like at the airport). They didn’t allow me to bring in baby food or water except the milk bottle for my little one.

After I checked in, 30 minutes later, a lady came and led me to the interview room.

She first ask me questions in the N-400 and we started with the civic questions.

  1. Who is the first president?
  2. Who wrote Declaration of Independence?
  3. What did Martin Luthier King do?
  4. Where is the Statue of Liberty?
  5. If the president can no longer serve, who becomes the president?
  6. What is one thing Benjamin Franklin is famous for?

  • Reading:

When is Columbus Day?

  • Writing

Columbus Day is in October.

I passed the interview and a letter will be sent to me in 1-2 weeks to inform about the Oath ceremony. Since I have a name, I am going do my oath in the courthouse. Oath ceremony usually takes place at the courthouse on last Friday of every month.

P/s: They said: the 10-year green card will not be sent to me because I passed the citizenship interview.
