Your husband needs to file an I-130 for your son. I filed for my husband and three children all at the same time. The process is almost the same as was done for you, except no G-325A will need to be done. In general, follow the guides for the I-130. It will NOT take 7 years. And I believe he should interview in Johannesburg if you're from Mauritius.

Timeline

My husband is petitioned my son (his step son) and now we are just waiting for NVC for case completion. If the marriage occured before the child is 18yrs, yes, the US citizen step-parent can petition the step child. Its quick. We just filed it last August 2016. And got approved a month after!?
