Interview went well.

Arrived to USCIS around 1:30 pm for a 1:55 pm appointment.

Went through the security and was asked if I brought any knifes, guns... items...

Checked in with th receptionist and was directed to wait in Session B waiting area. Waiting areas are quiet and I was waiting until 2:10 pm, an officer came out and escorted me into her office.

She swore me in and started to ask me for passport, green cards and state-issued ID. 

She went through my application first and asked me if I was bringing any supplement evidence to support my case such as: court decree, selective service proof...

She did not ask me to sign until I passed my civic and reading/writing tess. The questions are extremely easy.

1) Name 1 state thet borders Mexico.

2) Who is the commander in chief of military.

3) Who wrote Declaration of Independence.

4) Name 3 original states. 

5) What are two major political parties in US?

6) What political party of the President now. 

 

Reading outloud: Who elects the Congress?

Write: The People elects the Congress.

 

I was recommended for approval and she escorted me to the door and we were chatting for 10 mins.

Congratulations!! I will have my interview Sept28 at SF too. I'm nervous but when i saw your post, it gave me an idea what to expect when i get there, hopefully my interview will goes well too.. thanks for sharing your experience.

Did you get the check on the Congratulations box in the approval form you got ?

Congratulations!!!  Did you bring any additional passport photos?  Did she say anything about Oath date?  My interview is on 9/27 at 2:30pm.

No. I did ask her about Oath day because I will be moving to the South and it will be very inconvenient for me if I just came back 1 day for Oath. She asked her Supervisor and gave me 2 choices:

1) My case will be processed in SF but I can take an Oath in the South. 

2) She might expedite but there is no guarantee.

 

She did not ask for any photos. I did bring it though.

Yes. I believe there are 2 choices... #1 is what I got from her. She said Congratulations, I don't see anything wrong with your case and I am recommending your case for an approval. You will receive your Oath letter within 4-6 weeks...

Good luck to you. It is not as hard as it seems. The IO went through my application one question by one question but I have heard some IO might skip some..
