This is my personal opinion. Please talk to USCIS as well about this.

If your new address/county has a different USCIS field office, then yes it will affect your processing. You may not satisfy the requirement and your N400 denied.

If new address falls in the same field office, then it will not affect the processing.

Total processing time from last successful submission to Oath Ceremony: 253 days (8 months and 11 days)

Spoiler

02/26/2012: Arrived SF airport. 

11/28/2016: Eligible for early-filling.

Day 00 - 12/23/2016: Sent N-400 + I-942 to Phoenix, AZ lockbox via USPS.

Day 03 - 12/26/2016: N-400 application marked delivered.

Day 25 - 01/17/2017: Sent email to support regards to application.

Day 26 - 01/18/2017: N-400 rejected because incorrect payment amount.

Day 32 - 01/24/2017: N-400 + I-942 resent.

Day 34 - 01/26/2017: N-400 application marked delivered.

Day 49 - 02/10/2017: N-400 rejected again because incorrect payment amount.

Day 52 - 02/13/2017: Email form USCIS support responded package was rejected in error (!?) for the first and second time submissions, they requested 3rd resubmission + tracking number in order to apply my earliest priority date. 

Day 52 - 02/13/2017: N-400 + I-942 resent on the same day, also sent a response to Lockbox to provide information to USCIS.

Day 54 (Day 0) - 02/15/2017: N-400 application marked delivered.

Day 62 (Day 8) - 02/23/2017: E-notification, E-mail from USCIS, E-mail from Support announced Resubmission was accepted.

Day 66 (Day 12)- 02/27/2017: Notice of Acceptance as Fees Waiver Approval received. (All fees were waived instead of reduced by half as supposed by filing form I-942)

Day 69 (Day 15) - 03/02/2017: Online Status Update: Fingerprint Appointment was scheduled. 

Day 70  (Day 16) - 03/03/2017: Fingerprint Appointment Letter received. Biometric will be on 3/15/17. 

Day 70  (Day 16) - 03/03/2017: Early Walked-In for Biometric at 3:45 PM.

Day 87 (Day 33) - 03/20/2017: Online Status Update: Case was placed in line for interview. 

Day 234 (Day 180) - 08/14/2017: Online Status Update: Interview has been scheduled.

Day 239 (Day 185) - 08/19/2017: Interview Letter received.

Day 269 (Day 215) - 09/18/2017: Interview 2:30 PM at USCIS SF Field Office. Recommended For Approval. 

Day 280 (Day 226) - 09/29/2017: Oath Ceremony Letter received. N400 is approved.

For people applying for Naturalization based on the 3 year rule, are they supposed to bring joint bank account statements, utility bills etc for last 3 years or will last 1 year suffice ?

 

I know that they should bring tax return copy or tax transcripts for the last 3 years.

You should bring it because the officer asked me for them and I didn't think I needed to bring them with me. I had the tax returns and the transcripts but she asked for proof that the we are living together.

Interview complete!

 

They asked six questions from the civics test, confirmed everything in the N-400 form, I had to read a sentence of English, and that was really it. Then they handed me an N-462, confirming that I was being recommended for citizenship.

 

This whole thing took about 15 minutes. Good luck to everyone else!

I assumed my office was SJ since that's where I had the GC interview so I was surprised I have to go to SF now.

I'm guessing one year should suffice. What I'm thinking is that you've sent proof when you did the ROC, and the officer should have this. You should provide proof for the last year then.

 

My case has no updates. Online status still says "We've scheduled your interview", so I'm still waiting.

Hi so I got an email and txt message on Monday August 7th that my oath ceremony was mailed. I usually get their notices within 3-4 days. By Saturday when I didn't get the notice I decided I would call as I had a feeling the ceremony would be soon. I called this morning and got a tier 1 officer first , then I requested a tier 2. I was transferred and then asked to leave a call back number. A few minutes later a a very pleasant person called back and after verifying my info , he was able to give me the oath date and time and asked if I wanted them to fax it to me. Which they did. And they even called to verify that I got the fax! My oath ceremony is this Thursday August 17th at 8:30. 

Good luck to all my fellow February filers. 

Addendum: Guess what showed up in mailbox?!🙈The notice. Patience is a virtue. 😝😁

My case has no updates. Online status still says "We've scheduled your interview", so I'm still waiting.

No my wife is not a ROC applicant.

 

I hope you get an update soon.
