Still "FP has been scheduled" here in ATL. It's been static since March!

Surely ATL is the slowest?

I think NYC is the slowest!

If this is any consolation, I'm in NYC and I'm still in "FP Scheduled" status...(FP 3/28).

Just in case anyone is interested, I had my interview last week. It was very straight forward and lasted about 20 minutes. First he verified my identity and got right into the quiz. The 6 questions he asked me were:

  1. There are four amendments to the Constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them.
  2. What is one reason colonists came to America?
  3. If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President?
  4. Who is in charge of the executive branch?
  5. During the Cold War, what was the main concern of the United States?
  6. What is one right or freedom from the First Amendment?*

Next, he had me read "What state has the most people?" and had me write "California has the most people."

Then he went over my entire application with me verifying everything I had put on there and then said I passed. He told me to wait back outside and I will be called again for my oath date (which is July 24th)

The things they asked me to bring:

  • Green Card
  • Any passports I used to travel outside of America
  • Any evidence of registration for selective service
  • State issued ID

For people who have done the interview or subject experts,  do we have to dress up for the interview? Clean pair of jeans and button down shirt suffice?

I was wearing black jeans and a white t-shirt. Nobody was really dressed up in the room

Awesome, Congrats!

Curious, what did you take to the interview(outside DL, GC, letter and marriage/divorce)?

Specifically...

Tax docs - did you take IRS transcripts and/or w-2 stubs? What about state taxes?

Photos - did they ask for any?

Employment letter?

Birth certificate?

Letter from Selective Service?

Thank you!

The only thing I took with me was my Driver's license, Green card, interview notice, and a letter from selective service I printed online. Did NOT take tax docs, photos, employment letter, birth certificate, etc. They didn't ask for any of that.

How did your interview go??

Hey! Thanks for checking. I went and waited for like 45 minutes then the IO called my number and I followed her to her office. After verifying my identity and going through all the normal stuff and passing the test, she asked if I have any evidence of the marriage (which for some reason I didn't bring) and I told her no. She said because we've lived at a couple addresses and we still use the old address on our taxes, she's gonna give me the "decision cannnot be made" and she'll review my file again (as if she didn't have enough time the last theee months lol).

So, right now I have no idea what that means and I paid a fortune to go back to NYC from Europe and left again last night. Your oath was scheduled, right?
