HI Sundrop Congratulations on your interview app, I have my biometrics app on March 31st I would like to know how long took to send you the interview app and what office you going... my case is in Tampa Fl.

@chad&yai This is a time-line for his/her case. He/she was placed in-line 2 days after Biometric Appointment.
Interview Letter usually sent out 30 days prior to the actual appointment. As you might see, he/she got a letter on 3/25 and the interview is on 4/27.

As of 1/31, Tampa FO is processing case 

N-400	Application for Naturalization	May 14, 2016

 

Wild guess, as of 3/31, it is processing case July-August. 

However, Manchester FO is processing cases have PD precede July 22, but it is now processing case Feb 11. 

It is hard to predict.

Thats good to know! We got the biometrics letter exactly a month after we sent the application in, but the office ended up closing due to the "big snowstorm that never was". It says they'll automatically reschedule, but we still haven't received a notice regarding such. Lots and lots of time to study :-p

You should have just walked in the next day. I would take the original biometrics notice and just walk in the manhattan office. They will most likely take you. Don't wait for the new one.

Does early filing (up to 90 days before 3 years or 5 years) affect when your case can be moved to "in line" ? E.g. those who have completed 3 or 5 years prioritized for interview scheduling over those who still have a month or two left before their 3 or 5 years are done? Perhaps something like they don't put you in line until its 1 month before your 3rd or 5th anniversary?

 

Also, does it matter what your field office is to get the "in line" status, or does the field office come into play only after you have been put in line?

 

I am an early filer, and it's been 10 days since biometrics and not in line yet. I know others have seen even longer times so I'm not panicking yet, just trying to see if there's a reason for the delays.

Great questions GoChicago! I completed my FP on 3/3 and am still not in line  - in the end, it's your NOA date that counts when it comes to a busy field office, so no need to panic.. I think we need to be patient..

Being in-line or not does not make any difference. We all have to wait in-line for our interview is being scheduled.

Some people took longer to be placed in-line and they would eventually get their interview letter sooner.

I hope you're right rlam57... if I remember correctly, interviews are assigned based on NOA priority date with respect to current processing times at the local field office... I'm excited to read the first interview experience reports soon! Good luck y'all!

So I don't get any notification emails, though I signed up for these on my n400. Anyone know how to fix that now?

 

Anyways, checked my status on line and it says in line for interview. Is that how most people here update that date on their time lines? if yes, can you please update mine to 03/24/2017? (The format is getting messed up from my work computer) And yes, I don't have the letter yet.

If you submitted G-1145, you would get your notifications. In case it did not send you, create a myUSCIS account, you will have an option to choose "Email Alerts On" and "Mobile Alerts On." It will get you update as well.
