My wife finally got oath scheduled about a week ago for 4/30.

Congratulations!

How long did it take for the oath ceremony letter to arrive via snail mail? Also is the oath letter uploaded onto the USCIS website similar to the bio metrics and interview letters? If so how soon did the letter get uploaded onto the USCIS website after a successful interview resulting in the approval of the n400 application. Thanks!

Hey guys, thank you all for your support all these years, I’m really grateful to have you all by my side for sharing our journey together, I had my interview done on 4/10/18 everything when well, I got a email saying in line for oath ceremony on 4/12/18, than on 4/18/18 another email for oath ceremony schedule, got the oath ceremony letter today in the mail and it’s schedule for 5/18/18, I think it took longer cuz I’m having a name change, but the wait is over , now I know when I will be sworn in. I wish you all the best and hope you all get yours done soon.

can someone please update for me, thank you 😊

I got the email notice on Wednesday 4/18/18 about oath ceremony being schedule and they send the letter, recieve the letter today Monday 4/23/18and I saw the postage was stamp on Friday 4/20/18, meaning they send my letter out 2 days after they post it online, so it really depends if they already send it out, so from Friday to Monday was not that bad cuz minus they weekend it took 2 day. Good luck

I think it took 1 or 2 days for the oath letter to arrive once we were notified via text and email that it was scheduled on 4/2. I guess I haven't seen any letters uploaded to USCIS for my wife's application, only status updates. Maybe it's there and I didn't know it.

My wife's interview was 1/25, so it took a little over 2 months in our case until the oath was scheduled.

Hello Guys,

My case status is updated online today that "Interview Was Scheduled" it is with Dallas field office. I am out of country and be away for about 3 months. I gave mail box keys to my friends to check on the letter, don't know the interview date yet. I have the following questions.

1) If I want to reschedule my interview how long does it take to get my another appointment??

2) What is the procedure to reschedule my interview??

3) If it is risky to reschedule, I can make a trip to attend the interview. Can I choose a date of my choice for oath??

4) Can I travel internationally with my current passport after interview and before I take oath??

Hey - I had a similar case to yours; I had my interview date right in the middle of my vacation in Europe and I just flew back for 24 hours to go to the interview and fly back to Europe. Having that said, here are the answers to your questions (to the best of my knowledge):

1) Rescheduling the interview is usually up in the air, you never know when you're going to get it. I know someone who tried to reschedule and it took him over 18 months to get another date.

2) To reschedule, you'll have to return the notice I believe with your request (that's what the guy I know did and after that, they kept saying that they never received his request).

3) You can make the trip to attend the interview, but, choosing the date for the oath ceremony is totally up to the officer and how much they like you (provided that they approve you on the spot and don't tell you that a decision cannot be made at the time)

4) You can travel with your passport after the interview. Once you've taken the oath, they tell you that you can only travel using your US Passport.

I would recommend you don't reschedule your interview and fly back for it.

Hello,
Thank you for your quick response. Yes, looking at the previous incidents of rescheduling the interview date is not advisable. I will take your advice and attend the interview.

On the point 3) If I cannot attend the oath on the scheduled date, can we ask for a reschedule??

Thank You.

You can ask to reschedule, but as far as I remember, you need to provide a good reason why you can't.
