Received the message below on Saturday night at 11pm (Oct 14th). Looks like they have scheduled my interview on Oct 3rd but haven't received any notice yet. I'm just hoping not to get an interview between Nov 15th and 25th as I'm going out of country. If my interview is scheduled between these days I might have to reschedule it. I was hoping not to get a notice from USCIS a month before my trip but there you go......Grrrrrr.....

Thanks. It's an expensive non-refundable trip so I will have to reschedule my interview. Will L2 officer know the interview date? I'm waiting for a call back.

Just spoke to L2 officer and I'm sooooooo relieved.......

My interview is scheduled for Nov 9th at 8:35am and she said they usually send the notice 2 weeks before the interview.

Be aware about your Oath Ceremony.

Rescheduling an interview or an Oath is considered a high-risk action. You may not want to reschedule anything since you may have a chance to not be scheduled again. There are cases that the OP went to the INFOPass and got the reschedule procedure done but later they got their case closed because not showing up.

You know you never wanted to deal with USCIS about these kind of hassles. You work with them, but they don't have to work with you. You gotta know who you're dealing with.

Remember to ask IO if you can be scheduled date after your travel plan.

I just got my interview notice (Nov 9th at 8:35am). The mail was delivered to a different mailbox in my building. Looks like everyone in Atlanta is getting their oath scheduled almost a month after their interview and I'm traveling from 15th - 25th (which includes Thanksgiving holidays). Anyway, after my interview, I will request for an oath date after Nov 25th. Thanks!

I haven't posted her in a long time but i wanted to share my experience on my citizenship interview. Before i get started my cousin gave me a bit of advice she told me to go on youtube and study/listen to the questions. i played that thing on and off everyday i went and with everything i did. Okay so here we go.

My interview was scheduled for September 14th in the West Palm Beach Office @8 but unfortunately Irma made landfall and my interview was cancelled and then rescheduled for October 17th @10:30 they said get there 1/2hr before i was so nervous i took an uber. Got there went through security and i was given a number beginning with the letter J. I was sitting there for about 15mins when an immigration officer came out and said J52. he said it twice before i realize it was my number :jest: . Jumped up and went in with him to his office. He was very nice. We talked criminals etc while he was looking at my passport and ID. Then i saw the file he had on me it was huge. I got scared. Then he went all the way back in my file to look at my birth certificate then he asks me why did my mother wait 5 years to get my birth certificate. I had no answer for that. Then he stated to ask me all the questions in the N400 and when he got to the part of if i have ever been arrested i laughed he asked what was so funny and i told him i have never been inside a police station he said you are lucky and he proceeded to tell me he has been to mostly all the police stations in South Florida and which of them was clean and which was down right nasty. Then all of a sudden he started the civics questions. i answered them correctly and to be honest i can't remember half of them he then proceeded to stamp my N400 and i happened to look over and the stamp said approved. He told me to have a sit outside and a lady will bring me paperwork. i was waiting for about 10mins when i heard my name call. She gave me letter with my Oath Ceremony for the Oct 19th. I told her i am sorry but i can make it because i have work in California and i was leaving today. She said ok its fine we will mail you a notice. I told her than you and walked out. it was all done before 11am. Funny if there was no Irma i could have done my interview at 8 and done my Oath ceremony the same day. I know its a bit long but i had to share my story.

So, I have received an RFE (go figure!) on 09/20/17 (two months after my interview) that was due on 10/25/17.

The RFE basically requested information that proved that my spouse and I live in marital union. I have made copies of all the paperwork, documents, and bills and sent them off on the 10/14/17 and it was delivered on 10/17/17. The USPS tracking says it was "Delivered to Agent". I am not sure if I should call to confirm that they have received the response to the RFE or should I just wait until the ISO decides to bless my file with some time to go over the documents I sent her.
