Hey guys, I had my interview today, it went pretty well! i was interviewed but a very nice lady! She's stoped asking me questions after I got 6 right. I got recommended for approval

My application was mailed in Feb.

 

If you can be in only one group I will be in the Feb filers group and remove me from that group .

Hi guys, Just to say I went to my biometrics appointment today in Manchester, NH as scheduled. Everything went off without a hitch. Now I'm at home reading the Civics guide they give you at the end of the visit. I'll post again when I see a status change online.

I am very curious to know if the person on the other end of the phone line when we call the USCIS helpline are actually Immigration officers, Immigration Adjudicators, or clerks?

Do they have limitations in what they can do/handle about your file?

Can they really add/ substrate anything to your Naturalization case even the smallest thing such as a comment positive/negative to your case every time you call?

Hello to all, 

 

Today I attempted and succeeded a walk in for the biometrics. I didn't get asked why I was Early or anything. I was able to get that taken cared of today and fixed the letter missing in my middle name. They were all very nice about the letter being gone, some made even jokes. The longest wait was getting in line to get the fp taken. I got a nice booklet and a separate page with information about where to get my local representatives names for my civics test. 

 

Can someone please update my info.....? Also, I have an NBC ticket thingy

Not really sure, but I tried to go early since it was easier for me to go Wednesday instead of Thursday. We'll see what happens.

Hmm. I walked-in kind of early too.. Because I went to do the FP right after the mail-man handed me the letter... (15 days prior to my day as scheduled) 
I hope they would put me in line soon..

I would like to know the answer to that too.

Do not quote me on this but my guess is that they might be just contractors or clerks.

I would think Immigration officers and adjudicator will probably have cases to handle instead of answering tons of calls. 

I don't know about the tier-2  people thought.

My best guess the tier -1 folks are contractors with no "update" access.

The Tier-2 folks are Immigration Officers for sure .

Until now I never gave thought to the fact that they could make a ' negative' comment on a case file if you call and make some unwanted responses :huh:

But I have never heard of anyone calling Tier-2 folks and having some consequences

I think eb278 might be right with the comment above.

I have never heard of anyone having some negative consequences after altercation on the phone either.

But febfiler made a good point though. Since Tier-2 folks are immigration officers, they might have some authority on your case throughout the process.

Also I think everyone's call is directed to Tier-1 folks first unless they request Tier-2 but I might be wrong.

Thank you guys. I call the military help line instead of the ncsc since I filed with the Nebraska Service Center. Maybe both Center work in the same manner.

i completed my biometric appointment, really pleasant and took 20 min! Saw the update online that my status changed to in line for Interview on 03/09/17.

 

Hope the wait for am interview date is as quick as the rest of the process had been so far!

How long does it take for the paper fingerprint notice to arrive in the mailbox ? March 6th, case status indicated that fingerprint appointment has been set but till now no actual notice in hand.

I have no idea. My case status was updated that day as well and I am still waiting for the notice.
