Sigh!!!

 

Just discovered that on the question about trips out of the US, we listed trips in the wrong order!! Hubby has made three short trips but all lasting more than 24 hours, one in August 2012, one in January 2014, and one in March 2014. We listed them starting with the oldest (Aug 2012, Jan 2014, March 2014) while the instructions say to start with the most recent! I cant believe we did that. I guess they will be sending the package back!

Hmm... even though I'm by no means an expert (or have more experience than you do), I doubt they'll send it back. Seems like an honest error that could've happened to anyone. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think the officer will go over the form with you during the interview and edit/correct necessary information. That being said, i can imagine how you feel - i will keep my fingers crossed!

Hopefully they will not send back. Feels like a bucket of ice-cold water has been poured on me! Sitting at my desk at work dumbfounded!

Realized an error with mine too, I should have put in the "COUNTY" of where i lived but instead put in the "COUNTRY" BIG SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am so distraught i still keep checking my a/c to see if they are going to cash the check but deep down i know the package is coming back. kmt.

Let us hope that the person who opens our packages will have some mercy left to share, and will decide that it is something that can be corrected at interview.

Hi guys I have a question, 

 

I filed on February 11, 2017

When I checked my status online, it said that on February 15, my NOA was mailed to me.

It is February 23 and I am still waiting for it. 

Is this Normal? should I wait a bit longer? Should I call them or do an online inquiry?

If you've sent the G-1145 form with your package you'll get e-notifications , so when the check is cashed you get a text and e-mail with your Receipt number and you can check your status online with this number

Hi, so when I submitted my N-400 application, I also submitted what is called g-1145 (electronic notification application) where I gave them my email address and phone number. This application allowed to get a notification through my cell phone and email with the case number assigned to me. Did you that?

If you did, then go to https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do Go to sign up at the upper left corner, enter your into and create a new account. Add your case number and you will get updates there. If you did not, then you will have to wait until you get your NOA with the case number and follow the same steps that have just given you. Maybe, you can also call USCIS customer service and they will be able to give you your case number!!
