My husband lives in the Dominican Republic so do I  need to send in his birth certificate with the application? And also what documents can I send with my application to prove the marriage? I have my stamps on my passport, pictures and conversations.

Please read the guides :guides:. See this link here for examples of evidence.

Commonly accepted types of evidence which have been sent in (in order of strongest to weakest evidence):

  1. Proof of having lived together, e.g. copy of a lease with both your names on it.
  2. Proof of having met, e.g., copies of boarding passes, stamps on your passports, receipts from hotels you might have stayed at.
  3. Proof of financial co-mingling, e.g., having each other's names on work health insurance or beneficiaries on each other's financial accounts or joint bank accounts.
  4. Proof of your wedding, e.g. copies of invitations, receipts
  5. Proof of ongoing communications, e.g. snapshots of chats, phone calls
  6. Photographs of the two of you over the course of your relationship.
  7. Sworn affidavits from friends/family.

Good luck!

Okay!!! Thank you!! We don't have anything in both names since we both live in different countries. And is the sworn affidavits nessesary?  If they are then I will need to have his sister or friends from the Dominican Republic  write a letter confirming the relationship and pay to have it sent to the US.

Not really.

Concentrate on chat logs, pictures wtih family, travel evidence, gifts\cards to each other, etc. These matter more than affidavits.

Thank you i just want to make sure i have everything. and also doing have to send all those evidence with the application? or do they request that later on?

Please please please read the guides. People here cannot possibly answer every single question you have. I've provided a link to the guide in my previous post. It lays out a list of all items that you should send and in what order you should send them.

You have to send evidence of a bonafide marriage with your application that also includes a number of forms.
