I filed my AOS without a receipt number from USCIS from my waiver case. In case I receive the receipt number for my AOS case first, would that same receipt number would then apply for my waiver? Meaning, is it like the DoS where you only get one case number for all cases pending....?

DOS sent my fav recom on August 4th but I never received the receipt number on the mail. However, Coco8 informed me that some people have made appointments in the past through InfoPass at local USCIS locations, and I decided to go that route. I just came to my appointment and the officer found it weird that I never got it on the mail and was able to give me my receipt number. He said that the 1-800 line officers don't know how to handle this things sometimes. So, try doing this for those of you who are on a similiar situation. The officer also said that my case has been moved from office to office don't know why, he said sometimes they do that. At least I can track it now.

Hi guys.

when i enter my case number to USCIS, it says "On September 28, 2017, we approved your Form I-612, Application to Waive Foreign Residence Requirements, Receipt Number...... We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

what does this mean?

It means that they approved your waiver and you will get a notice soon by mail (the paper you need to keep in your records).

Congrats!
