I-175 two questions

Hello!

Two quick questions about the I-175.

1) I noticed that the referenced cover-letter in the walkthrough section is written from the perspective of the petitioner's spouse, and signed by the petitioners spouse.  Is this okay, or should the cover letter be from both of us?

2) Is it okay to send the originals of some forms of evidence of our relationship?  I have several pictures, and some holiday greetings cards that I am planning on labeling and sending in.  Would it be better to make copies of these?

The petitioner in this case is the original beneficiary.  Cover letter can be written by either or both people if filed jointly.

Copies are always better unless you dont care if you get the item back.

The elis number? If you know itn input it, if not then dont.  Its a special number that was given after paying the new immigrant fee for those of us arriving on immigrant visas (aka no adjustment of status.)
