TB followup once in the USA.?

My fiance had to go through extended TB testing during her medical (ie: culture test).

She passed and has arrived in the US.

but, she has heard (unofficially) that immigration will contact us within the month for a followup TB exam here in the united states.

 

Is this correct?

If so, how much does it cost?

You can usually get it done through a public health department at a reasonable price if you don't get married right away or have health insurance

So how/when do we know to do it?

You are saying that we can do this on our own?  As opposed to them specifying a medical facility (as they have through the process so far)?

Hi, I had the same situation last year when I came here is US.. They will be sending a letter to your address more likely a month after she arrives in US.. And, all the information on where to call and etc.. Good luck!

Did you have to pay for testing or was it covered as part of the initial medical payments for the k1?

I'm assuming you have to pay for it. Places don't generally work free of charge here....the fee you paid for medical was a fee for the services of that doctor.

Yes I did since I am not included to my husband's health plane at that time.. We paid for the xray and blood draw for about 70$ I guess.. But it depends on your county if how much are those tests..
