There are 5-6 other threads about this general topic already; but as to extending the ban, that is something a tad new, and would apply same way I assume as the other countries already in the ban.

Right now it's just speculation. Of course it is possible, but right now I would just be calm and try and have a positive outlook. We don't know what the future holds for any of us. I highly doubt Egypt will be added to this ban for a # of reasons...

I really hope you are right. My husband has a solid background in politics and he said the same thing too. But then again he's always been the optimistic partner throughout our relationship.

The Chief of Staff for Donald Trump announced that they are considering adding additional countries to the list this morning on Meet the Press; Pakistan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia were mentioned by name. It is something to be concerned about, but all conjecture at this point. All you can do is wait and see.

Judging from Priebus' statement, the application this current EO to current GC holders appears to have been an oversight that is being rapidly corrected. Tremendously inconvenient for everyone involved, but for the most part not apocalyptic - how many other stories have we heard around here of front-line officers occasionally having their own, somewhat idiosyncratic interpretation of the current regs. Just more of the same.

DON'T PANIC

"It says wonderful things about the two countries [Canada and the US] that neither one feels itself being inundated by each other's immigrants."
