I have been waiting for over a year now waiting for a response on the removing of the conditions of my GC and still nothing. I would like to know if any of you has gotten a response that file between December and January?

I am a November 2015 filer and still no response. Called USCIS on my case and received a "promising answer": you case in NOT going to be pronounced on any time soon.

When did you call? when I called they told me they were working on cases of December 14 2015. I've heard some people that filed after me and has gotten a response. I think they are not working in any particular order. Also, what did you do when your letter of extension expired?

I  called this Friday and they confirmed that they are working on cases of Dec. 14 2015, the only reason for delay tier 2 was able to provide me with was: there are too many cases and little employees to process these cases. I am considering an infopass appointment for I-551 stamp because my driving license is expiring.

Did they even hinted what the reason for your long delay is? Sometimes they'll give reasons such as background check issues or verifying information from REF.

The only reason tier 2 gave me is the big amount of cases and small of employees, I asked possibly if this due to security/background check or should I expect RFE/interview, to which he gave me only the reason above.  My case was backed with a lot of evidence, neither I nor my husband never had any trouble with law, all assets are combined, in loving relationship and have a 2 year old child together. I am from neither of the recently targeted by immigration executive order countries, so I don't see any reason why this case is so much delayed.

Here is an update on my case:

After a no sleep night of checking the USCIS website for available infopass appointment to get my I-551 stamp, at 5 am I finally got one spot two weeks away in my local office. Went to work with fear only to receive an e-mail from USCIS (a response from my e-request) that my case was approved on Friday (the same day I was calling the USCIS) and the snob telling me there is no chance anytime soon.

My lesson: call, e-request, USCIS as much as you can, because there is evidence my call triggered my case approval (as a few other cases here), they obviously think if you don't call or contact them, you are in no rush and keep delaying as much as they can.

So, approval date: January, 27th for us. NOA1 November, 27, 2015.

Are you guys eligible to apply for citizenship yet? if so, why not do that?

Being eligible to apply for citizenship, doesn't mean that one is able or is willing to apply, for ex. if you have to give up your another citizenship, or any other reason. It still puts you out for 6 or more months in limbo if ROC is under process.

August 2015 filer here and still waiting.Called multiple times, went to two info pass, sent several e-requests and its always you are in process.

The last e-request reply was a bit strange. In my inqury I asked why am I waiting for 18 months now,and what is the case status. Is there a timeframe when they will make a decision.

Their reply was "Your petition is still pending consideration. We regret for not being able to give you timeframe when we will complete review of application.

Your I-551 is evidence of your temporary permanente resident status.USCIS does not inspect or admit individuals into the US.Please contact CBP for travel requirements"

The last part is a bit odd,I am not from a country on the ban.I am freaked out by that random reply because in my inqury I did not even ask about travel so its was a bit off they replied with that.

After the ban I am not planing on leaving the US at all, never know if he will add more to the list.Seems like even ISCS doesnt know who can be let in.

Anyway yea still waiting....☹️

I-751 (ROC)
07/30/2015- Sent I-751 package

08/11/2015- Received I-751 notice extending my conditional resident status for one year

09/10/2015- Took Biometrics

03/10/2016- Called USCIS to ask about my case, they said no updates and I am within normal processing time

08/23/2016- Called again to ask, they still said within normal processing time,no updates

10/11/2016- Date my conditional green card expired(the one year extension),called again they said schedule InfoPass

11/6/2016- Went to InfoPass and got I-551 stamp extending my permanent residency for 1 year, was also told my case is now at local office

12/15/2016- Still waiting......................

03/30/2017 Received RFE

I assume USCIS has been contacted a lot regarding the travel ban. It's probably just a generic response to hopefully stop people from doing so. Since as it says, USCIS has nothing to do with whether or not you'll be let back into the country.
