I remember seeing your K-1 start. Our NOA1 dates were a week apart! I am so glad to see this post! congratulations! It is sucha great feeling. Happy reunion! See you over in AOS! More waiting there! (F)

Definitely not done with the waiting....but in my baby's arms i dont care!!!! :star:

You are so right! AOS cn be just as frustrating, but being together makes all the difference in the world! I am so happy for you both! Congratualtions again!

08/11/06 - Received NOA1 in the mail - 9 days

05/06/07 - After 9 months @ VSC, my petition was transferred to CSC

05/31/07 - Touched... and APPROVED!!! (After nearly 10 months!!)

06/01/07 - Touched & Received e-mail indicating approval

06/05/07 - Received NOA2 in the mail

I-130 / IR-1 @ NVC

06/14/07 - Petition at NVC; Case # Assigned

07/02/07 - DS-3032 & AOS Fee Bill Generated

07/03/07 - Emailed NVC w/Choice of Address & Agent (DS-3032)

07/05/07 - Mailed AOS Fee to NVC

07/13/07 - NVC confirms Choice of Agent (via e-mail)

07/27/07 - Received IV Bill

07/30/07 - Mailed IV Bill (Overnight)

07/31/07 - IV Bill @ NVC

08/04/07 - Received I-864 Packet in the mail

02/21/08 - Greencard Received! Goodbye USCIS `til 2018!!

ya I loved that!! As we stood in line people infront of me all had big bags!! bye bye!! lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
