Oh wow lol I got mine at the same time! Waiting for the biometrics appointment at the moment. It says "Fingerprint fee was received" for my I-485 and just "Case was received" for the other 3 forms.

MSC stands for Missouri Service Center, which is the old name for the National Benefits Center so it's really just the NBC. They check if all your paperwork is in order and send RFEs if need be before routing it to your local office. The actual decision is made at the local office. NBC just makes sure everything is in order and inputs the stuff on the paper on their system so it's easier for the local office to process it. :)

The whole thing is really weird to me... I live in Harrisonburg, Virginia (which btw is where you submit address changes), about two hours from DC. I sent my package to Chicago, they sent it to Kansas City, Missouri and they'll send it to Fairfax, Virginia... Oh and if I move, I apparently can't just drive down the road to the USCIS office about 5 minutes from me that handles address changes nationwide, I have to either do it online or mail them. Odd. This little (hardly little) application packet will have seen more of the US than I have.

I have been misguided, i hope this is the right thread.

I'm trying to get my son to the US. i have read that i can apply I-130 then apply his I-485 but some people are saying it's fraud?

How can it be? My son is 16 yrs old, he has a tourist visa valid for 10 years. He came last year and he wants to move here with us.

My husband is USC and i'm a GC pending status on I-751.

Can he come here on his tourist visa and adjust status while he is here??

Or can we apply for I-130 once he gets his NOA1 he comes here and apply I-485.

How does it work guys please shed me some light on this.

The tourist visa validity is not the same thing as duration of stay. The maximum amount of D/S you can get with a tourist visa is 180 days. The exact number will be on your I-94 or on the stamp on your passport. If he has stayed past that, he's overstaying. There is no such thing as a 10 year D/S on a tourist visa.

Assuming your USC husband can file for your son, he has to file a form I-130 and wait until a visa becomes available. (More info here https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/law-and-policy/bulletin/2017/visa-bulletin-for-january-2017.html) As you can see it can take up to 6-7 years for a visa to be available. You really should have applied for your son along with your AOS, it's a lot more complicated now... I would seek legal help, maybe you can still add your son to your application.
