Hi guys!

We are going to prepare the I-485, Anyone want to share experience for filling I-485?

We don't want to go to agency because they charge 1,600usd while direct filling will be 1,225usd. That's too much!

Hopefully we can get more information and reply.  Thank you in advance. God Bless us...

It is very simple and straight forward.  Use the guides and example forms.  I prepared my husbands AOS package in a few days.  Read up and ask questions here.  Everyone is very helpful.

My experience is all from this site and everything has been super easy following the guides in the post above mine. Without VJ, I would've no doubt struggled through all the government hoops that you have to jump through to get from A-Z through this entire process. I literally knew nothing about any of this until I started trying to figure out how I could be with my German girlfriend.

The only thing I would like to ad is;

Read all the instructions that come with the forms and read them thoroughly.

There were a few forms that had slight changes compered to the guides, but the instructions with the forms are leading.

There is not a single item on any of the forms you cannot figure out if you use the instructions, the guides and the forum. Everything is available.
