Your country is not among the banned countries. So I don't see why you wouldn't be able to make it back in but your best bet would be to wait till things ease off

Morocco is currently not on the ban-list. Those who face delays or the temporary ban are citizens-by-birth from the banned countries.

Judging from Priebus' statement, the application this current EO to current GC holders appears to have been an oversight that is being rapidly corrected. Tremendously inconvenient for everyone involved, but for the most part not apocalyptic - how many other stories have we heard around here of front-line officers occasionally having their own, somewhat idiosyncratic interpretation of the current regs? Just more of the same.

DHS (briefly) reviewed the policy and said it does not apply to LPRs, but the white house overrruled them (http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/28/politics/donald-trump-travel-ban/). LPRs are being permitted on a "case by case basis".

This is the most recent info I find, still case-by-case but generally admitted:

Individual countries cannot absolutely control what their citizens do in country and when they are in other countries.  So just because the 9/11 terrorists came from Saudi Arabia does not in itself condemn the Saudi government.

 

But there are governments who actively promote terrorism, provide government funding for it, allow terrorist training bases to exist within the country, etc.

 

And most are forgetting that this list of 7 was not compiled over night.  The list was complied quite some time ago by the Obama Administration . . . State Department, Intelligence Services, etc.

Well this is an upsetting reason to be ending my hiatus.

 

I know there is a lot of misinformation in the earlier posts in this thread but hopefully people are caught up in understanding that YES even LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENTS are being turned away at this point. I have clients who I know personally who are getting caught up in this and am advising certain others, even from countries not currently on the ban list but have contention surrounding them, to be mindful about leaving the U.S. with the new administration since things can turn on a dime over night. 

 

A number of people disagreed with me in the original Trump thread and were convinced that any changes would take time and congressional cooperation. I hope that at least what comes out if this is people wake up and realize how serious this is...

I am an iranian born British citizen. I left iran when I was 15/16. Yes I was born in Iran but I am not a practicing Muslim. Me and my husband consider ourselves free thinkers with liberal views. My husband is a natural born US citizen and a veteran of several mission. We got our case completed from NVC a a week ago after a year of hell. Now where does this leave us. What about my husbands rights? He has depression and things are not looking good for him. I have also gone through hell and back and had to study for two years to do exams and pass application and interview (10/800 chance)  that would allow me to work in the US when I get there. I have secured a university postion for July and paid hundreds in education fees alone. I feel devastated. No idea where to go from here.
