If they were originally born in any of those countries, or have passports from those countries in tandem with European passports (dual nationals), then yes.

Thank you everyone for your sentiments.  It's very difficult to respond.  I am shocked at the magnitude of protests against this Order and I am so thankful that people understand that it's not just immigrants who are being mistreated, but that US citizens' rights to have their family members join them have been compromised.

But it's not a right, under Immigration. It's  a privilege.

It's not against US Citizens civil liberties. I don't know  if that is  against potential immigrants, because that I am not sure that American civil liberties  extend to them if they are not in the USA.

Too much hysteria voicing opinion that there is mass confusion.

So when is there not mass confusion when any new policy is adopted?

Even with laws that are long in place, there is mass confusion.  Has anyone ever received two different opinions from two different 'experts' concerning filing a tax return?

 

Of course even the customs people are confused, because they had no advance notice or training.

But let's assume a situation where the EO went out that the ban would go into place in 10, 20 or 30 days.

What sort of mass confusion and riots do you think would occur at airports where people were desperately trying to get on planes and into USA before the ban took hold?

And what would a terrorist do who was working on a plan and was going to come to USA in 9 months?  Think he/she might step up the time table?
