N-400 Fee's

Folks, 

 

Just need confirmation on the the correct N-400 fee's to send it for myself and my son.  Can some confirm my math, thanks.

• N-400 fee                    $640.00
• My Bio Metrics fee      $85.00
• Son's Bio Metrics fee  $85.00
• Total                            $810.00

how old is your son? if he is under 18 by the time you naturalize  than no need for his biometrics fees, if over he needs his own N400 application with his own biometrics fees.

Thanks for the quick reply.  My son is 6 years old but this seems odd because i have had to pay Bio fee's when I had his condition of status removed I hope you are right looks like i need to do more research I could not find anything on the government site is there any place this can be verified?

Removing of conditions is a different process and the biometrics are necessary for you and your son in that situation. However, since your son is only 6 years old he will become a US citizen automatically when you take your oath. So no biometrics is necessary for him.

Again,  thank you for taking the time to clarify the Fee's involved it is very much appresiated, no i have to start saving for the N-600 fees it seems like it never ends.
