Going on a cruise with ESTA

Hi everyone!

 

I came to USA under ESTA and now got engaged to my boyfriend in here and i'm planning to stay. My esta is valid until march and i dont have a plane ticket back anymore. Me and my fiance would love to go on a cruise in february, while i'm still legally allowed to stay, but the thing that i'm worried about is the fact that i dont have a plane ticket anymore. Is there a somekind of questioning when going on a cruise or just passport checking?

Going on the cruise is fine... coming back from the cruise, if not married already may cause some issues is you're questioned about your plans.

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

Assuming a 'passport check' means cruise out of US territorial waters.

Just asked my friend who recently visited and she said that the passport check they do in there is without computer, just looking at the passport, that way i should be fine, but yeah, im sure there are still risks..

While re-entering the US from any cruise, while close looped or not, immigration is at the port/pier. They have computers and everything.
