My fiancee has her interview soon. Per the proposal question that the consular will ask. My fiancee doesn't have the engagement ring to wear on her finger since i have it with me here in the US. Will this be a problem. Others who have experienced this can please help. Thanks

Just send her the receipt of the ring. It doesn't matter if she wears a ring or not at the interview. A photo of the ring would be nice as well.

Engagement rings are just engagement rings. Not everyone buys one or wears one.

You're very right. She does have the ring receipt so i think that'll be adequate.

just a suggestion - she can always buy an inexpensive "placeholder" ring to wear until she gets the real deal?

When my husband and I got engaged, he didn't give me a ring. I bought a simple band when I got home, just so I could wear something. A ring is just secondary evidence and not required. Focus on the good evidence you have...like the time you spent together in person. That matters more to this embassy.

A receipt for a ring is not evidence of a relationship, it just shows that someone has purchased an item of jewelry. I don't think this adds anything to your application.

In Ghana you need every little shred of evidence you can get your hands on.  She can take a copy of the receipt if she wants.  Certainly won't hurt anything.
