Hi

Okay so I've had my interview in London for CR-1, everything went fine. And I'm now in possession of a UK passport with temporary I-551.

 

I'm due to fly to JFK next week, however due to unforseen circumstances I'm a bit behind schedule & I still have a few loose ends to tie up in the UK.
Will I be ok to fly next week. Present my pack etc to the CBP. Then in a couple of weeks, return to the UK for a few weeks to tie up said loose ends before returning to the US.
I could obviously just change my flight dates. But it would cost just about as much to return and fly back, with the added benefit of being able to bring a few more cases of belongings with me (and getting to see my wife for Valentines)

You have a valid visa and you have a valid I-551 - you'll be fine. AP does not apply to CR-1 applicants, your status is already adjusted, AP is for those who have to adjust status stateside.
