My wife and I have entered numerous times, using the BB each time, NEVER been asked for a copy of our marriage certificate.

And I know a bunch of others that travel in and out like we do, they never carry a copy of their marriage certificate either. (having lunch with two of them on Tuesday)

Find it very weird to be asked..

No one has replied back on the name situation in the passports

And I have one more question.. was ROM completed?

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

Interesting.  This is the first I have ever heard of anyone being asked for a marriage certificate when entering the Philippines.

Very odd.

We entered back in December .. still not asked.

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

What would you do if the immigration officer objects?

Are you going to say, but our last names are the same in the passport? Or are you going to show the MC?

Here is another similar one ...

Will you need a throw-away ticket to board your plane before going on a BB to the Philippines with your Filipina wife?

The BB says you don't but the airline agent might stop you from boarding?

It's better to be fully prepared coz you will never know what kind of an ignorant in authority you might face!

Most airlines are up to speed on the BB, if your wife is Filipino.  I know Delta and United are.  Delta brought it up, then two seconds later after seeing my wife's U.S. passport with Nationality Philippines they moved on.   To date we have had zero issues... and truly don't expect any in the future.

I will try to answer both of you in this post ..

First, Sagot...

I am pondering now. What if one came to the Philippines with a Filipino relative? Would he/she get the BB based on that? It's not his wife so, no names issue?

The answer seems to be a YES!

But, why risk it if you come with your wife? We all know how employees are!

It's safer for them just to say NO instead of taking responsibility!

Second, Hank...

The same apply. Why risk it?

Mind you, there is an online business that would rent you the forwarding ticket. I think it was for $10 USD.
