Moderators Closing Too Many Topics

THIS TOPIC IS NOW CLOSED TO FURTHER REPLIES.  I don't know about the rest of you but I am tired of seeing this at the bottom of pages or threads.  Come on moderators...give us a break!  The comments/conversation just gets exciting and people start to jump in and next thing you know some moderator jumps in and shuts it down.  I mean, yeah if people start giving illegal advice or get barbaric and start swearing by all means, delete their comments. (I say this with all the kindness and love in my heart...so please don't close this one yet.)

I am sorry you feel we close threads too much. We try not to, but if a thread takes a lot of moderator time (lots of reports, even after posters have been warned in-thread and perhaps even suspended), and, if an immigration question, the OP has been given the correct answer, we close it because there is only so many times we can warn members to stay on topic/ stay civil.

The only time I've noticed that is the Donald Trump threads.  It seems they are all getting dumped into that mega thread that is at 500+ replies.....way to much reading at once for me.  There are so many Trump issues it seems there could be a few other ongoing threads.

I see the purpose there.  Until there's actual facts it makes sense rather than having several issues clogging up

Yea, I guess so.  Not a big deal though.  I can't take much more of that banter anyway.  I logged off FB for awhile for that same reason.
