I am about to start the process of Greencard for my parents. They live overseas. I have couple of questions.

1. Do i have to file  I-864,Affidavit of Support  along with i-130? Or I have to file it with 485?

2. I live in Illinois. I am in the process of moving to California in next one year. I want to file the application as if I live in California. I do have a property and address in CA but my w2 all everything is Illinois based. Is it possible?

3. SInce my parents are older than 65, What is the best and cheapest way to get the medical insurance for them? from that perspective, each State may have different laws. What state is best for elderly people who are on Greencard?

Thanks for your help.

1.  Only the I-130.  The I-864 is submitted after the I-130 is approved.  Your parents are not adjusting status so the I-485 is not needed.

2.  No.  List your actual address.  File a change of address when you move.

3.  Look into Obamacare.  Might be best to have your elderly parents live in your state near you.  It seems ludicrous that you would have your elderly parents immigrate to the US to live in a state that is 3000 miles from you because it's the best state for elderly people with greencards.  Best is also subjective and depends on what your parents' needs are.
